I use my background in Classical music, both Indian and European mixed with Jazz and Rock influences to create unique soundscapes and tracks that will add new dimensions to your project.
Hi!
I'm Vikram Bam. I'm a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Boston (2019) and am a Singer/Songwriter and Producer and an Indie artist based out of Mumbai, India. I've spent the last 8 years working as a producer and composer in the regional music industry in India.
Aside from being a trained vocalist, guitarist and pianist, I have spent my college years exploring the world of composition, arrangement and production and brought that knowledge to a host of projects I've worked on since then including:
A documentary on the history of Kashmir that you can watch on the Zee 5 streaming app,
'The Vaccine Wars', a major motion picture released in 2023
'The Caress', an Assamese Indie short film released in 2019
A number of song productions for many Indie artists over the years
In addition to my own ventures as an artist, I have a deep and undying love for film and I'm always actively seeking out new projects to get on board with.
I'm excited to hear from you and explore what we can work on!
Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

An up and coming guitarist with great ears who is flexible to adjust as the song evolves. He can read music, can add different styles to your song and is patient.

It was a great experience. Vik brought in a fresh perspective to the track and that too well within our deadline. I think he understood what was our expectation and delivered that and some more. I especially liked the guitars that he played on the track. Wish him the best and will definitely work with him again.
Interview with Vikram Bam
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock, EDM, Beat Music, Pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Definitely layering guitars to create an 'orchestral' type sound and I do love to do rock solos in songs. Brings me pure joy :P
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I pull from a lot of influences to create a unique sound. I like to bring a sitar-style playing to my soloing if that's something that you're interested in having in your song! I generally try to approach every song differently and try to bring something new to each project, whether it be a unique tone, style of playing or if there's room for it, even solo line!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I typically do a 'spotting session' with the client to get a better understanding of their needs when it comes to the track and the guitars. I then go on to layer guitars to set the foundation for the song. If there is a solo involved, I go through about 7-8 takes of improvisation and then comp where needed. Then I go for the 'filler' lines in between words!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I play either on my Ibanez AZ series or Fender Strat, 2017 Mexican make. I record into Logic Pro X either through Amplitube 4 or my pedalboard that includes an OCD Distortion pedal, a Flashback Delay, a Corona Chorus and Messa Boost through an impulse response, through my Scarlett Interface. I listen on Genelec Q studio monitors and have an Oxygen 61 Midi controller.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm inspired by a host of instrumental guitarists like Guthrie Govan, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Kurt Rosenwinkel, B.B King. That's a big part of where my sound comes from!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The job I'm doing most often for clients is filling a track with guitars. This usually involves a lot of layering and some soloing. What's really fun is when I get someone who wants to build their track from the guitar - up, that way we can really craft something unique and interesting!
