Play Guitar and Write Lyrics

Vik Bam on SoundBetter

I am a guitarist, pianist and lyricist. Everything I do is in service of elevating your music. I approach each song or instrumental I work on working off the core emotion and then shape what I do around that. As a Songwriter and Composer in training I know the difference between what will showcase my talents and what will be best for the song.

I have studied Guitar and Songwriting at Berklee College of Music. I have experience recording and performing electric and acoustic guitar in a variety of genres (Jazz, Blues, Rock, Fusion). I have recorded guitar for regional songs in Mumbai, India. In addition, I have 8 years of piano training and have composed the soundtrack to a regional short film as well.
I love to collaborate on all my projects and the journey from the brief to what we end up with always excites me.
I have been writing songs for a while now and have studied songwriting at Berklee with Pat Pattinson. I approach writing lyrics and music based on an emotion and build from there. I love to collaborate on writing and can just as well write you something or try and bring something new to what you've written.

The music example is an instrumental fusion piece I composed and arranged.

Get in touch with me above, I'm really excited to talk about and maybe work on your music.

Interview with Vik Bam

  1. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  2. A: I typically fill in Guitar parts onto existing sessions or if geographically possible, work with the arranger/composer in the studio to build the track from scratch. When it comes to Songwriting, if I'm writing lyrics, I typically have a meeting with the co-writer and depending on how they want it, either go off and write or collaborate to elevate what they already have. If I'm top-lining or just providing music to existing lyrics, that always is much more of a collaborative process.

I was the Composer, Arranger, Guitarist in this production
