I excel at highlighting the piano’s percussive potential along with beautiful tone: the instrument is really 88+ drums! Having studied under Sophia Rosoff (her pupils include Barry Harris, Brad Mehldau, Fred Hersch, etc.), Bruce Barth, and Barry Harris, I’ve played and recorded all over the world, solo to chamber ensemble to big band and orchestra.
With experience as an engineer and production assistant at studios including Rick Rubin's Shangri-La Studios and Jackson Browne's Groove Masters I am excited to open my doors to SoundBetter. I've worked with numerous clients like Charlie Burg, Mira Housey, and Emma Charles. My goal is to make your songs sound like you hear them in your head.
Japanese-French jazz/world percussionist. Graduated from CalArts (2004) in West African Music and Dance. Studied djembe, dunduns, and balafon in West Africa.
