I'm a seasoned session musician that has been recording my own drums for over 20 years. My tracks focus on delivering the best performance of the perfect part for your song with emphasis on groove, feel, texture, energy, space, and attitude. My goal is to serve the writer's vision by enhancing the song without ever distracting from it.

Dennis Holt is one of Nashville's most gifted musicians, whose drumming abilities cross nearly every genre from Americana to Country to Rock, Jazz, Ambient and R & B. Seasoned global performer, Dennis’ diversity has proven itself in recording with Taylor Swift, AD/Kansas, Emmylou Harris, Trisha Yearwood, and Deniece Williams to name but a few.

I am a drummer/producer of 10 years specializing in indie, rock, funk, and singer/songwriter, with my kit set up in a 70 year old church.

Groove is the most important part of a song. When I was coming up in bands I had the privilege of playing with Blake Mills and Matt Malley (Counting Crows) on sessions. I also learned a lot from the legendary Chris Currell of Michael Jackson. In production and drumming, I attempt to honor those great players and the grooves they create.
