A great engineer is hired for their taste, not their technical skills. We use technical skills as the tools to help bring out the proper emotion of a song that the artist is portraying.
I have produced many projects of my own and other local and well known artist(s) like Aventura, Toby Love, Prince Royce, Don Omar, etc. (This was when they were in their early stages before they all became the super stars they are now) I had to clarified that so there's no confusion.
