I’m Michael Buchanan, an audio engineer and musician based in Northwest Washington state. I offer the following audio services: Mastering / Mixing / Stem Mastering / Audio Editing and Repair / Consulting + Tutoring.

Casafont Recording Studio is located in a unique natural environment in Catalonia, near the Barcelona area. With amazing acoustics and panoramic views of the Ora valley, Busa cliffs and Casafont's country house, the studio is great for tracking, and for having creative and brain storming experiences.

I'm a grammy nominated multi award winning Danish born producer/writer living in LA. My credits include: Colbie Caillat, Adam Lambert, Daughtry, Prince Royce, Rachel Platten, Alvaro Soler, Jesse & Joy, Hedley, Beth Hart and many many more.

I am a full-time singer-songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and artist. Writing, producing and performing under my name I have specialised in Soft-Rock, Soul and Disco releases with a vintage flair. My tracks are regularly playlisted on national radio in Europe and the UK and I've performed at SXSW, Primavera (Spain) and Glastonbury (UK).

My story:16 years of experience making and playing on recordings. I started as a session bass player and branched out into the engineering side- recording and mixing. I now have a healthy collection of gear: vintage and modern microphones, guitars, basses, keyboards, drums, plug-ins, and mixing/mastering capabilities. Basically a one-stop-shop.

As a songwriter, I understand the power of a great lyric and a simple melody and I believe that with a little help, anybody can write a great song.
