Mixing & Mastering Engineers, Producers & Songwriters who worked with Ember Woods

Music producer, mixing engineer, (over 200k streams, Spotify alone) in Utah.

Hello, my name is Derek Long. I'm an Audio Engineer, Guitarist, Songwriter, and Music Producer from Ohio, based in LA. Shoot me an email with any questions or concerns. I'm very laid back and open to negotiation.

I'm a music professional specializing in songwriting, vocal production, song demoing, film scoring and voice-overs with over 100 major placements. Credits on Hustlers, Jumanji, Star, Kardashians, Empire, Daddy's Home, Bad Neighbors 2, Bad Moms, Ride Along 2, E! News, as well as a feature film score for Lions Gate to name a few.

I'm an obsessive editor. My goal is to achieve neatness in the editing of takes without losing the groove or the human touch. I get honest mixes, looking for the best sound without breaking the atmosphere from the recording.

I'm a classically trained professional vocalist, regionally known in the Northeast as a performer, singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist. I have a warm, smooth sound that can cross genres easily. I recently have been on tour with the Boston Pops as their featured vocal percussionist and solo understudy. I'm able to record in my own pro studio.

I breathe music from the moment I open my eyes every morning until I fall asleep! I work hard and creatively on all my productions.

I'm committed to bringing out the fullest potential of your music with precision, passion, and experience.

I create soulful toplines, custom songs, vocal features, and harmony stacks that stick in your head like your favorite chorus. Whether you’re looking for an emotional hook, a retro-soul vibe, or a powerful chorus to finish your track, I’d be honored to bring your vision to life. Let’s create something timeless.
