I love music, all things music. I wake up in the morning and I just want to put a mic in front of something. Then mix what ever I got. Then breakfast; breakfast is key. Give me something to record, mix or produce and I will care for it like my own children, or better still, your own children.
My work is guided by musical versatility and respect to the vision of the artist. When mastering or mixing I seek out to accentuate the character of the piece, rather than impose a predetermined aesthetic. The aim is to please the ears of the artist and their audience.
Andrew Halvorson is a freelance recording and mixing engineer from Minneapolis who does most of his work out of The Hideaway in Minneapolis. He has worked with a wide range of artists around the cities and enjoys working on all types of music.
