I`m Dennis Calvin, Recording Engineer and Producer from Germany.
My passion and primary area of work is acoustic, world and roots music as a musician and engineer. I have engineered or produced almost 100 full-length albums and played on more than 50 across the singer-songwriter, Americana, roots and world music genres. Jessica Taylor is a recent Berklee graduate with a degree in Music Production & Engineering. She has attended master classes with the acclaimed Ebonie Smith, Ann Mincieli, and Simone Torres. She has worked as a live sound engineer, at a post studio, as an assistant to award winning engineers, and at various recording studios & labels.
I’ve worked with the industry’s top engineers and producers at Capitol Studios for 4 years. I’ve had the pleasure of working with artists such as Sarah Wallin, Nick Marechal, Leann Rimes, Melissa Etheridge, Mayer Hawthorne and more. As a freelance engineer, I will devote 100% of my time making sure your music sounds as great as possible.
Cardinal is best suited to independent artists, small labels and small to mid-range studios, both home and professional. It is a sort of boutique operation where nothing is rushed or overlooked. I use a hybrid of both analog and digital processing.

I used to practice playing faster and faster ... and I felt completely empty. So I am exactly the wrong guy if you are seeking lightning fast licks, etc. My approach is different.
