I'm a music producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer based in Vancouver Canada. I've helped many artists around the world to produce their songs or finish their idea and take it to the next level.

What makes me unique is my confidence and risk taking. Getting to the nitty gritty, seeing what works and what doesn't and putting the client first. I've spent a lot of time travelling as a producer in the competitive beatmaking realm and I'm looking to bring a bounce and new flavor to your next track!

I have a degree in popular music and have been working with mixing, mastering and production for about 16 years. I have an eclectic musical work that travels between varius styles like Jazz Fusion, Pop, Traditional Brazilian Music and Rock. My objective is always to help artists achieve their goals. Jazz musician by education, beat-maker by conviction, José Cálix has worked with artists from all around the world such as NIO, Los de Allá, MHL Big Band, Cascabel, as well as releasing his own solo projects. He has worked for film, TV and video games, either working behind the computer or rocking out on an instrument (if not both).

I’ve come up listening, appreciating, and learning from a broad array of genres through recordings and live performances. Started off playing drums, and then studied guitar formally for three years. After that, I decided to focus on a more electronic part of music, that's when I became fascinated with programming and beat-making.
