Hello best friend! I am Sam Pura. I am a Producer, Recording, Mix, and Mastering Engineer. I also am a Songwriter and Session Musician. I own and operate The Panda Studios in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. I have made music for 20+ years for various record labels, artists, and independent audio projects all over the globe.
I am a Mastering Engineer at Infrasonic Mastering in Nashville, TN and Oakland, CA. I'm a Trustee of the SF Chapter of the Recording Academy. I'm also an active member of the AES, Women's Audio Mission, and I lecture about audio to all who listen! I am deeply in the vinyl industry as well. I go by Nikademo. I started making music in my Father's basement my Freshman year of High School in 2000. I rapped and made Hip-Hop beats. Today I produce, rap and engineer. I've worked with many artists. Recently I have been engineering an artist who goes by the name Knowshun and my group Known as No Problem.
10 years ago I started recording in a basement with an SM57 and a Tascam Portastudio. Today I am still recording with an SM57 only now through a Fostex B-16, backed by 16 channels of Pro Tools. I have played in bands, written songs, backed artists, but never feel as comfortable as when I'm setting up mics, turning knobs and hitting record...
