Giovanni Maucieri is born in Potenza (Italy) on the 16th of February in 1992 and since he was a kid he shows a sense of rhythm, so that he can reproduce sounds and rhythms by hitting pots and pans. For this reason his parents, for his third birthday, gift him his first drumset. From that moment on, his passion for drums grows more and more, so much that he begins studying privately with drum teacher Giuseppe Leggio (from 1997 to 2001). From 2001 to 2004 he attends a music school which give him the chance to play in many bands participating to many live events. In 2007 he also attends the YAMAHA International Music School, graduating with full marks. In the meantime (between 2005 and 2012) he joins other bands, participating to various contests (winning some of them) and shows. Blind Revolution band stands out with a released album named “Money, Love, Light” (on the February of 2020). The album contains two singles: “Getting Stronger”, available also as videoclip and “Knocking For Love”, available also as lyric video. A few months after, he gets nominated to a Latin GRAMMY for the album “Unico” from the artist Amalfi. Giovanni, since 2012, works with many national and international artists, both in live and studio situations.
