After countless recording sessions with various engineers and producers, not one met the quality and standard of Dax. The level and detail at which he holds himself and your product cannot be measured in words. Only through your hears will you gather understanding. I cannot and will not be recorded by anyone else now as Dax has set the bar well above industry standard.

Having worked with Dax (Puzzle Factory) on several projects, I can honestly say he is one of those rare individuals with ears so finely tuned that a perfect mix is guaranteed every time. His knowledge of acoustics, recording, mixing, editing, mastering and music are unsurpassed by anyone I've ever worked with, and the results speak for themselves.

Dax was great to work with, he has a great ear for mixing, composition and performance.
He was able to get the best out of each member in the band to allow us to make the best recording we could.

A highlight of working with Dax was how he catered to our individual personalities and egos, making us feel relaxed, energised, or angry, as needed for the music. Once the performance was captured, it was awesome to see how quickly he worked to make changes and bring it all together so that before we left the studio we had a great idea of how it was going to sound. Best recording experience so far.

Producing and arranging the album 'Still With Me' for Tim Moxey (The Voice), I enlisted the talent of some great musicians and singers. With that done, we needed mixes that brought out the strengths of the songs and made Tim shine, with power, light and shade. Dax fulfilled that role to perfection. His mixes enhanced the epic songs, highlighted Tim’s 4.5 octave voice, captured the nuances in the soft acoustic moments and gave us a sound that we were more than happy with. I highly recommend Dax and his new facility in England.

Rumblr had a fantastic experience working with Dax on our first EP. We originally chose Dax due to his work with our favourite Aussie post rock act ‘sleepmakeswaves’ and his success as a Winston Churchill fellow.

Dax is extremely professional and knowledgeable in his craft. The process was more of a journey and we are truly stoked with the end result. Hats off to this man!

Well, straight up I had questions.
First, why can’t I send it to my mate in Sydney for mastering, and second, who in the world calls their kid Dax?
All of those questions were answered when the track came back. (not the name one)

Having worked with Dax at Puzzle Factory for many years and through several major projects I have found him to be equal parts knowledgeable, creative, talented, patient and focused.

His upbeat attitude and warm demeanour has meant that our dealings with him have evolved from someone we hired to work on a project, to feeling that his creative input is an integral part of our musical family.

I have worked with Dax many times, both employing him to mix my music and then to master recordings I have produced myself. I would recommend him highly for both - in the case of his mixing work it contributed to an ARIA Award nomination for my group. Even among experienced mix engineers Dax stands out for his rigorous attention to detail and commitment to an excellent final product. I have also always valued that he sees the artist as a collaborator in the project, and will go the extra mile to make sure their views are expressed in the mix.

It's many years since I happened on the Puzzle Factory here in Australia and now the dice has rolled in favour of Europe, so take heed if you want to give your project the best
