Daniel has been a blessing to work with. Through the years i've learned what i want and expect from a producer......and he delivers just that with an ear for the smallest details. Besides that he's a very relaxed guy to work with, honest and open, always keepin the best interest for the song in check. I can definitly recommend him!!

Daniel did many of my productions, some of the best productions I have ever heard. His hearing is impeccable, he can hear all the details of music which allows him to bring productions to the next level. He can mix every aspect of music, instruments, vocals, soundscapes, drums and so much more. What can I say, I am very very happy with the work Daniel has done for me!! His mastering is perfect 2!

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: A great mix is very expensive. Of course a lot of great mixers are very expensive, but don't forget the people who can do a great mix that is maybe a bit different but still great at a much affordable level. Talk with some mix engineers and find the right one for you.

  30. A: character, its all about character. That thing, obvious or not, that makes the song unique and stand out.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: All kinds of music, I have worked on pop productions, rock, EDM and hiphop. I think that a commercial mixer must be able to work with al kinds of music and make the song sound the best it can.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: I am efficient, my strong suit is to zoom into the feel of the song and bring the energy out

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: An artist brings al the great ingredients to a great song, my job as a mixer is to make that into a fantastic dish of music. all the right nuances and flavor in the right spots.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I start with listening to the song to get an impression, then I will talk with the producer/artist to see what they would like to happen to the song. From there I start the mix. leveling out the basic elements, understanding what makes the song drive/live and start to bring that out. when the foundation is clear i start polishing all the individual elements to sit in the mix. I keep polishing until it is exactly how the artist wants it.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I work in the box, through a Focusrite Clarett 8preX and to my Adam A7X or neumann speakers, a ballance between midrange definition and big and open sounding speakers. this lets me focus on different stages of the mix.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I love artist with their own unique sound, might it be Skrillex or Hans zimmer, when you hear a piece that is created by either one, you recognise the sound immediately. Seeing people express and communicate their story inspires me to make that story shine a bit more with a great mix.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Shaping sound, finding out the essence behind the sound that the artist is looking for. It is the most rewarding to find that you can sculpt their songs and bring out 'that' sound of the artist.
