Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: Writing an album for myself, mixing a funk dance record, and recording a folk rock record for a client.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Both have their place. Universal Audio and others have brought digital so far these last several years.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I will do the best I possibly can!

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Being devoted to music.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: Anything...ask away!

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: Like many other musicians and engineers on SoundBetter, a lot of people locally just think of musicians as a GarageBand. Not true!

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: Give me as much info as possible and I’ll do my best!

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Message me about anything and we’ll figure it out!

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Guitar, Kemper profiler, Drums, Bass, and a megaphone :)

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I’ve been playing guitar since i was a young teenager, songwriting since 2007 and and I started studying recording in 2009 and opened a small studio in 2013, and a more legit studio in 2018.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: My guitar fundamentals are peppered with hints of Zeppelin, Muse, Slash and Metallica. The last several years I’ve made an effort to diversify my playing, and always welcome the challenge of a less familiar style or genre.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: Truthfully, any inspiring musician excites my musical sense. But I would love to write with Matt Bellamy of Muse.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: Creativity and passion.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I work through/on whatever it may be in my studio until I get it right/done

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: It’s all about getting the instruments to sit well in the mix with each other - sonic harmony.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Typically rock and metal, but I also work on a fair amount of country, jam, pop and dance music.

A: Songwriting and guitar

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: As a studio engineer, I do everything from tracking vocals and instruments to mixing and mastering. As a guitarist I love playing lead, but record plenty of rhythm as well.
