  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: Started in 2008 after graduating from a Music Recording Certificate program at a community college. Fell in love with the songwriting aspect of music, been creating ever since.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: Pop, Adult Contemporary and Gospel

  5. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  6. A: I am most proud of my first professionally released song, it was a gospel song written by me and produced by a Grammy winning producer. It was supposed to be just another track on the project but ended up being the title track.

  7. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  8. A: Creating new material daily.

  10. A: I'm not that technical so.....?

  11. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  12. A: Great lyrics!

  13. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  14. A: When I hear the finished product, putting something in the universe that wasn't here before. Tears fill my eyes every time.

  16. A: Do I sing? Yes I do, but should I?...no!

  18. A: That lyrics don't matter anymore.

  20. A: What are you about? What do you have to say? What do you want out of this? Do you have a budget? When can we start?

  21. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  22. A: Find someone who can listen to what you have to say and can translate that into lyrics.

  23. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  24. A: Pen, paper, laptop, headphones, mic!

  25. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  26. A: Creative lyrics and great concepts. I am always looking for a better way to say what's already been said.

  28. A: Write and record myself creating the general idea, then have a vocalist reference it if need be.

  30. A: Logic X, Blue Mic and Mac Mini...used strictly for my creative process.

  32. A: Stevie Wonder, Fred Hammond, The Winans, Floetry, Kanye West, Emeli Sande, Elle Varner and Diane Warren.

  34. A: I write lyrics with melody.

  36. A: Emeli Sande, I love her vocals and the way she tells stories in her lyrics.

  38. A: Feel the story the music is telling then write your lyrics accordingly.

  40. A: Writing lyrics.

  42. A: Alternative, a different option than the mainstream.
