I've worked with a wide variety of artists and songwriters to bring their visions into life. Starting out with my solo project under my name, Ethan Loke, I've garnered over 150,000 streams through tracks like "You'll Be Fine" and "Stella", and "Sacrifice Your Firstborn". Slowly, I started working with other local artists here in Singapore before expanding out to good friends that I've made overseas through music. If you need to work with a variety of people ranging from mastering engineers to instrumentalists, I know people across Europe and the US who can help.

A talented songwriter, producer, and mix engineer, I am able to craft your vision into reality. Whilst I work primarily within the indie folk, folk-rock, acoustic, singer-songwriter genres, I thrive on challenges and am deeply inspired by the conversations and energy I get when I work with people from all around the world.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My guitar, my keyboard, my computer, my Neumann TLM102, and my SSL interface
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: If you're looking for a great guitarist and a decent and down-to-earth guy to work with, Jacob Blizard is the man.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: To work with Adrianne Lenker would be mind-boggling. To work with some of or one of the boys from boygenius would be too.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Folk, Indie folk, Singer-songwriter, Folk-rock, Folk pop, and the likes.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring my own soundscape and eclectic vision, which many artists that work with me actually look for. I bring connection, authenticity, and a great result while we are at it.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: For songwriting, I am greatly inspired by Adrianne Lenker, who I deem one of if not the greatest songwriter of this generation. For guitars, I love the work that Phoebe Bridgers' team has done to shape the indie soundscape, as well as other guitarists like Buck Meek. Production wise, I am deeply inspired by Philip Weinrobe, Philip Etherington, Tony Berg, and more.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly do from the ground up productions, working on everything from the songwriter all the way to the mastering stage. I love to meet people and hear from them, so a lot of the work also is making connections and learning about their music.
