George Nash is a up-and-coming fingerstyle guitarist based in Nottingham. He’s known for his percussive guitar techniques, playing in a range of different genres and styles to take the listener on a musical journey. George has his mind set on music and is currently in the process of recording an original album.

George discovered this way of Modern-Fingerstyle Guitar playing on Youtube back in his hometown of Aberystwyth, Wales. He has been playing guitar for over ten years now and can compose either original work or record arrangements as required. He has also recently completed a masters degree in music performance.

George has access to a full range of microphones and studios to record anything to the highest quality possible for your specifications with a fast turn-around and he is competent with mixing and mastering within his DAW of Logic. He currently specialises in composing and arranging guitar parts for vocalists, instrumental or orchestral settings. He also can record acoustic guitar parts, in traditional styles with a pick or within fingerstyle to add to your tracks. Either give him free range with composing an additional part or send over the sheet music/audio references and George can pick it up by ear.

Interview with George Nash

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Great communication and a track which we are both proud of when completed. No matter how long it may take.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, instrumental or folk tracks.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Composing + arranging.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My unique percussive style of which I have practiced for over 10 years. I use a bunch of alternate tunings but I can also use standard, guaranteeing you a more unique sound than a usual acoustic guitarist.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record at home in a home-studio, I have access to a bunch of different microphones of which I record with one on the 12fret, one on the body, and sometimes a mid microphone too + a DI signal. I send all tracks as stems and you can choose which you like, or use them all together.

A: Tommy Emmanuel, Ben Howard, Linkin Park, Mike Dawes, Jon Gomm, Antoine Dufour, Vraell, Preston Reed, Alexandr Misko, Marcin, Ludovico Einaudi, Novo Amor, Bon Ivor, Sam Fender.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Session musician. I arrange and compose the acoustic guitar parts in either a percussive or traditional style depending on what you would like. Just send me the chords and let me know what you like and I'll get to work. I can also compose from scratch and do so for a multitude of short films or purely instrumental tracks.
