Incredible to work with! Justin was so kind and led me in the right direction of where I wanted my songs to go. He made my vocals sound incredible and came up with amazing ideas for background sounds, harmonies, etc. Always responded to my questions and was super open to suggestions and ideas when it came to mixing. Super fun and would work with him again for sure!
Working with Justin for the first time has been a phenomenal experience!
He really delivered on my vision and the quality and creativity he brought to my project were amazing!
I would highly recommend him.
Justin is a true professional, and proof that vocal mixing in itself is an art form. We had a couple of vocals that needed an extra special hand and touch. If you have a project where you want the vocals to get extra special attention to sound radio ready, I'd highly recommend Justin. He was also super helpful in giving feedback and being collaborative along the way.
It was a really good experience working with justin. Beautiful voice, smooth workflow and creative in filling in extra voices and harmonies. Definitely want to work with Justin again.
Justin brought my song to life and told the story beautifully with his production. His style is intuitive yet innovative, and I couldn't have asked for a better end product!!
Justin made my song sound better than I could have even imagined! He really took the time to get it sounding exactly how I wanted, and was so fun and easy to work with. My song sounds VERY professional and very high quality. He came up with so many cool instrumental parts that really made the song shine, and his vocal production is AMAZING. I have honestly never heard my voice sound as good as Justin made it sound! Thank you so much Justin.
Justin was a pleasure to work with! He got the job done with me, and worked really professionally! We wrote a really good song together!
Justin responded quickly, was flexible and really easy to talk with. He made my track a ton better and helped me see what the best decisions were for it. I'd absolutely recommend him to anyone trying to improve their song.
Always glad to trust Justin with my vocals. Very professional!

Wow! Justin is one of the best all round producers I've ever seen in all of my years in this business. I trust him with any of my own music and frequently refer clients to him. Justin is the man!
Interview with Justin Gammella
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I work with Ashe ("Moral of the story") a ton. I was able to be apart of her first 3 EPs. I worked with FINNEAS as well on them. It's weird to say because he is younger than I am, but I learned a TON working with him. I am incredibly proud of those songs and am looking forward to the next batch I write with her!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! I love having a great sounding vocal, guitar etc recorded through great gear to work with in my DAW. It not only makes my job easier but it sounds better almost every time!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will always be honest with you and give you my 100% when I work with you.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: How much time something can take. I always try and be upfront and honest with my clients and be flexible with with what I'm charging. If I think something is only going to take me an hour, I'll let you know. But if i think something is going to take me 2-3 weeks, I'll let you know as well.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't be afraid to ask questions and always be honest. This is your vision and I'm here to help you make the best version of that vision.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I was in an Indie Pop band called Royal Tongues for a few years. That was my start into being a full time professional musician. I have now been doing music full time for around 7 years. I am one of the lucky few that gets to work as a songwriter and producer every day.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with Paul McCartney. I am a HUGE Beatles fan and everything I've learned about songwriting I've learned from listening to them.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Trust your gut. Production is 90% taste and 10% skill in my opinion. The sounds you like are what make you unique and what will make clients want to work with you. Also, the vocal is usually (if not always) the most important thing in your production, don't sleep on it!!!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work mostly on Pop and Indie Pop music but I also do a lot in Rnb and EDM (mostly toplining and Vocal production for them though!)
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I like to think of myself as a big team player. I am there to bring the best out of my collaborators and the artists I work with. I'm there to help create the best version of their ideas.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I trust my gut when I write and produce songs and I am always brutally honest because I want to do what's best for the song or for the artist.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I am working in a home studio, which I almost always prefer (especially when songwriting). I have way too many plugins to count. I work mostly in Pro Tools and Ableton but am pretty competent in Logic and Reason as well. I have apollo interfaces, a BAE 1073 pre, Neve 511s, Kush Electras, Kush Tweaker, Audioscape BUSS COMP, tons of mics and guitar amps, an upright piano, countless guitars, acoustic guitars, basses, and fun little synths laying around the studio.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do a lot of Vocal Production work here on soundbetter. I enjoy making my clients sound AWESOME on their songs! Outside of soundbetter I spend most of my time as a songwriter and producer working with artists you might know.
