Endorse Low Tide SoundWith a keen ear for sound and an ever bigger heart for music, Nacho has been an invaluable asset to many of our collaborations both behind the mixing board and the piano. I have a deep trust and respect for anything he gets his hands and ears on.
Working with Low Tide Sound has been a fantastic experience! They’re really attentive to getting the brief right and understanding exactly what’s expected, are very clear about the next steps and delivered on time. We worked together on a campaign soundtrack for Preply and I was amazed with the quality and speed of the delivery. The composition met every point of what we were hoping for and really helped us to bring emotion into the creative! I can’t wait to work together on more projects!:)
Nacho at Low Tide Sound is the right person for the job. We’ve collaborated many times for close to 2 decades and he never runs out of ideas!
He’s easy to work with, reliable, considerate, and intuitive.

Interview with Low Tide Sound
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: A standout project for me was one I did for an international company. I was the composer, producer, mixing and mastering engineer. They sent a reference that featured 90s synths and drum machines, but they weren’t the usual, popular ones. I spent a lot of time researching to find the exact sounds that would capture that specific character. It took some digging, but in the end, I think I matched what they were looking for. The client was thrilled and approved it on the first submission, which made all the effort worth it.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Honestly, I love the challenge of bringing someone’s vision to life. There’s a unique satisfaction in creating something from scratch and knowing it resonates with people. Music is incredibly powerful, and being part of that process is something I don’t take for granted.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: One of the most common questions is, “How long will it take?” My answer depends on the project, of course, but I usually aim for a quick turnaround without compromising quality. Communication at the start helps set realistic timelines, so I try to keep that open and clear.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is flexible and adaptive, always driven by what the project needs. I’d say it’s rooted in musical curiosity and attention to detail, and I always aim for an honest and expressive sound, whether that’s something smooth, edgy, or completely genre-bending.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always focus on clarity and intent. Every sound and instrument has to serve a purpose in the mix. Sometimes, less is more, and removing unnecessary elements can actually make a track sound bigger and more impactful. It’s all about building layers that complement rather than compete.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I’m a huge music and sound enthusiast. I’ve always loved it, and I’ve turned that passion into more than just a career—it’s something I’m deeply invested in for life.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m currently working on a library music album for BMG. I’m halfway through the 10 tracks I signed up for, and I’m really enjoying the process!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Professionalism, quick responses, and ensuring they’re completely satisfied with the final product.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: My main question is: "How can I help?" I like to focus on their needs.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My MacBook Pro, SSL 2+ interface, Nord Stage 4, Roli Seaboard, and my Adam Audio A7X monitors.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in jazz music, and I started studying music production, composition, and orchestration around the same time—20 years ago. Since then, I’ve worked on music for ads, TV shows, films, video games, and even theater productions.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I’m open to any style my clients need. I’m always learning—whether it’s performance, composition, or world music. For example, my last project was an '80s synth track for a big educational company, and I had a blast working on it!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First, I make sure I understand exactly what my client wants. I ask as many questions as possible until we are both sure we are on the same page. Once I am sure about the direction to take, I research (if necessary) and work on a finished product at a commercial level. Revisions come after, but normally my clients accept the first version since we communicated so well in the beginning. Communication saves time.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a very comfortable remote studio setup in a treated room. I’ve been investing in it for more than 10 years, and I have the best tools for recording, producing, mixing, and mastering. Too many to mention, but all the industry standards (FabFilter, SoundToys, Softube, Arturia....). I also have the best music libraries including Komplete Ultimate, Cinematic Studio Strings, Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra, Arturia Collection, and many others. You can listen to some of them in my demo reel! Oh, and also I have dedicated Audio Post Production software (RX 11 Advanced, SpectraLayers 11) and Mastering (WaveLab Pro 12), which make my life easier and the quality of my productions top-notch!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: - Audio post-production (restoration, mixing & mastering) - Music for media (composition, production, mixing and mastering) - Recording/mixing and mastering for artists. I record from my studio and work with them remotely.
