Hi there,

I’m Gala Celia, a percussionist from Mendoza, Argentina, now based in Madrid.
I toured worldwide with Jorge Drexler and I’m currently on tour with Manuel Carrasco. Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated with a variety of artists across the Latin, Afro, and wider music scene.

My main expertise is in Latin percussion including Salsa, Timba, Rumba, Colombian and Argentinian Folklore, Afro-Peruvian, and Candombe. In addition, I also play West African percussion, like the Djembe and Doudoun. Controlling these traditional styles, I love mixing my knowledge with modern music styles like Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Afro-House.

Gala is an outstanding percussionist. Her musicality and dynamic playing support and elevate the track. From crazy flowing solos to hard-grooving rhythms. I created a few tracks of Senegalese percussion with Gala and it came out so good. Super recommended!
