Flutist & woodwind specialist

I multitrack woodwinds

Flutist & woodwind specialist on SoundBetter

Doctoral level flutist, saxophonist, and clarinetist with two decades worth of experience in a wide variety of musical genres.

I am a seasoned flutist and woodwind doubler who has been performing professionally for over two decades. Currently a doctoral candidate in flute, I've studied flute with Nicole Esposito and Immanuel Davis, saxophone with Dr. Eugene Rousseau, and clarinet with Jorge Montilla. I have toured nationally as a pit musician, played in symphonies, and served in the US Army as a musician. I'm an experienced recording engineer and worked in live sound while in the army. I transcribe and arrange prolifically, with arrangements having been performed by The US Army Band and the members of the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington to name a few. My YouTube page has over 800,000 views and 1800 subscribers.

I also work as a freelance recording and video engineer, producing videos for YouTube, recording recitals, audition tapes, and have worked on CD projects. I've spent years of trial and error to settle on the best microphone combination to record flute, I've found the Royer SF-1 to be my favorite for tracking the flute. When matched with the Cloudlifter it produces stellar results that sit clean in the mix without standing out.

Hit me up and see what I can do for you, I'm honest about my abilities and will strive to be the perfect fit for your project.
