A reissue mastering specialist, I have digitized, restored, revived and remastered historic recordings for Woody Guthrie, Jack Bruce, Scott Fagan, Mickey Newbury, Beach Bullies, Doc Watson, California Playboys and many more. I've worked with the Bottom Line, Caffè Lena, Woody Guthrie, the Ash Grove and the Newport Jazz and Folk Festival archives. My remaster of Erroll Garner's iconic recording The Complete Concert By The Sea (Sony/Legacy) was nominated for the Best Historical Album Grammy, 2016.
I master in Sequoia using all analog outboard gear by Manley, Dangerous, SPL, Metric Halo and more. My analog playback machines (ATR, Nakamichi, Tascam, Sony and Technics) are all in tip-top shape and calibrated for each project.
In my previous career as a radio producer, I interviewed drummer Max Roach and the organ player at Fenway Park for WGBH and spun records on the airwaves of WGBH, WFMU, WZBC and WESU.
