I am DJ Luiggi, a DJ, Producer and Beatmaker from San Andrés Islands. My sound fuses influences such as zouk, soca, kizomba, reggae, afrobeat and dancehall, reflecting the musical richness of my island. In my studio, I offer beatmaking, production and mixing, working with artists such as Jiggy Drama, Rap Bang Club, Kiprich, among others.

Luiggi Arath Cuellar Hernandez, better known as "DJ Luiggi", "DJ Luiggi On The Beat" or "Yao Luiggi", is a DJ, producer and percussionist from Colombia. He was born on August 25, 2001 in Cartagena de Indias and raised all his life in San Andrés Islands. His path in music began at the age of 9 when he began to "remix" songs and make his first instrumentals empirically. It would take five years for this artist to begin to be recognized on the island for his "remixes" (in 2015). Then, at the age of 16 (in 2017), he would begin to have his first performances as a DJ in different clubs on the island, obtaining great approval and recognition from the island public. To this day, he has become one of the most important beatmakers and producers on the island, also known in parts of the Colombian coast.

  1. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  2. A: Being able to share ideas with other people.

  3. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  4. A: I am very perfectionist in my work.

  5. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  6. A: Computer, Sound Card, Hard Drive, Headphones and Monitors.

  7. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  8. A: I have been producing music since I was 12 years old and at 16 I became known in the local scene in San Andrés. Throughout my career, I have worked with national and international artists, fusing Caribbean sounds with urban genres. Currently, I am a DJ, producer and recording engineer, and I continue to expand my impact in the music industry.

  12. A: Afrobeats, Zouk, Kizomba and Dancehall

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: My greatest talent is breaking musical stereotypes. I am able to fuse Afro-Caribbean rhythms with modern urban music and I am inseparable from any type of contemporary music.

  16. A: From Zouk, Calypso, Soca and Kizomba, to Reggae, Afro Beats, Dancehall and other Caribbean sounds, each has shaped my artistic identity, allowing me to fuse styles and create an authentic sound that reflects the musical richness of my island.
