I am Soner Ersen, a London-based jazz pianist, composer, and educator with over 20 years of international experience. Throughout my career, I have studied with renowned jazz performers and educators in the UK, including Chris Batchelor, Rob Townsend, Nikki Iles, Garrett Williams, and Steve Rose. I have also had the privilege of playing alongside esteemed British jazz musicians such as Jim Mullen, Mark Mondesir, Clark Tracy, Mark Lockheart, Tony Kofi, Nigel Price, and Benet Mclean.
I have been actively engaged in recording projects from my home studio. I collaborated with Cypriot fusion guitarist Okan Ersan, resulting in the release of a single in 2021. I worked with Steve Rose, Ralph Salmins, and Pat Levett on this project. Currently, I am working on my debut jazz album as the Soner Ersen Quintet, set to be released by the end of 2023.
In addition, I create music for TV, film, and other purposes from my home studio. I am currently working on a documentary project to be broadcasted on BBC.
