Reviews (3)Endorse Varun
Varun is an amazing mastering engineer! He was able to achieve great crispness, clarity, and polish with my project, and I'll definitely be hiring him again really soon!
The balance and professionalism of the track that Varun masters is next level. Really nice guy and very cooperative.
Having worked with Varun a few times now, he has a naturally gifted ear that we all pray our mixing engineers have. His quality is truly comparable to the best major label mix engineers out there, and Varun comes at a fraction of the cost. You're gonna get depth, clarity and a whole lot of punch. Do not sleep on Varun!!! You want an amazing pro mix, he will give you just that.
Interview with Varun
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your vision for the track? Is this geared for the club or something someone would listen to at home? Was there a specific song you were referencing? Are there any specific parts of the song that you feel need extra attention?
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One of my favorite tricks to get your drop to really pop is to automate the stereo width smaller right before it hits. It creates a really unique illusion.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Primarily EDM. Future Bass/ Future Pop, Trap, Progressive House, Trance, House.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: The ear I've developed for bringing a song to life through the mix. I always thought of mixing as a very mechanical thing until I was able to see some of the masters at work. It opened my eyes to a whole new approach to mixing and made a significant difference in the quality I was able to provide in tracks for my clients as well as my own.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My goal in every project I work on is to allow it to shine in the best way possible. I go above and beyond for my clients and want to make sure that your song has the best opportunity to succeed. I have countless years of experience and have learned from some of the best. After spending years as a DJ dissecting and analyzing music, I know what works well in the club and radio.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Martin Garrix, Major Lazer, DJ Snake, Alesso, Skrillex
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Often times I'll get a client that has an unfinished track that they feel is still missing something. That's where I'll come in to give an assessment whether additional production is needed or just tightening up the mixing & mastering.
