Interview with Brandon Chase

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I do a ton of EDM/pop and Country as well as CCM/Worship.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My number one goal is to create something that has that genuine, creative, and high quality sound. My second goal is to deliver to my clients as quickly as possible. So I typically get started right away after a client funds a job. If the job consists of writing lyrics and topline, I typically send a preview of the first verse and chorus that same or next day. From there, we discuss any changes that need to be made and continue with the rest of the song until we're happy with the final result.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run my rig off of a suped up Mac Pro. I use Logic Pro X and an Apollo Twin X. I also have a ton of plugins (NI Komplete Ultimate & Komplete Kontroller, Soundtoys, Output, Universal Audio, Labs, Steinberg, Waves Bundle, Lexicon Reverb Suites, Output Bundle, Addictive Drums & Keys, Steven Slate, etc). I also use a Slate VMS to record my instruments and vocals which allows me full freedom to be able to change any Mic sound, EQ or compressor post recording to be able to deliver high quality recordings both with my own vocal chain and completely unprocessed.

A: I would love to work with Keith Urban. He is a huge influence to me in my own artistry.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: There are no boundaries to what you can and can't create.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Recording vocals and songwriting.

A: I try to bring passion, authenticity, and creativity to everything I work on in the highest quality possible.

A: I'm really inspired by the producers and musicians who think outside the box and chase after sounds that no one has heard yet.
