Nice to meet you ! I have been writing songs in French, English, Portuguese and singing in different languages (French, English, Brazilian-Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese) and Genres for 15 years. I sing comfortably between F3 - F4# (Chest voice) and F4# - C5 (Head voice) - my range stands somewhere between alto and mezzo-soprano.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Composing and producing music: Akai APC KEY 25 / Logic Pro X / Various plugins (Labs, Native...) Recording (vocals and instruments): Isovox 2 / Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 / Neumann TLM 102 / ART Pro MPA II (since December 2020).
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly indie music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It all comes naturally, to be fair. I listen to a song on repeat until lyrics & topline emerge, then I record vocals and adjust what needs to be modified. Composing and producing is pretty straightforward too, I create a motif, choosing carefully the sounds I want to use, and the track evolves around the first loop.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Assuming I won't have any electricity there, my guitar and tons of books :)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I was fifteen when I started composing, mixing music and write songs for fun. I got a speech-language pathologist degree, started working and quickly had some professional opportunities as a singer... Passion won !
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Dreamy.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Ramin Djawadi, his melodies are so personal and original. From one show to another, you can recognize him even if the music Genre changes.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Just one ? Alright, when tuning vocals, the most important thing is to use your ears. Even if they're perfect in the first place, do not hesitate do de-pitch vocals where they stand out - instruments and plugins aren't 100% accurate. I think what matters the most is how all the instruments blend together (including vocals). So don't seek for perfection, seek for cohesiveness.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Not necessarily a skill... but persistance ! Sometimes we get so wrapped up with our own vision... It's important to listen to the client's feedback and try other approaches if needed.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Nine Inch Nails, Nobuo Uematsu, Joe Hisaishi, Brian Eno, Hans Zimmer, Bonobo, Massive Attack, Tori Amos, Enya, Imogen Heap, Ramin Djawadi and so on.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually work as a singer-songwriter in different musical Genres (chillout, electronic music, pop, synthwave, dreampop, metal, educational songs, EDM, Ambient, trip-hop, lo-fi...) As a composer, I am mostly ambient and synthpop driven but open to other Genres.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: "Do you send dry or wet vocals ?" It depends on the rate, dry vocals are cheaper than dry + wet vocals :)

A: Ubisoft's Beyond Good And Evil 2 soundtrack with other talented artists on HitRecord !

A: I will do my best to enhance your track and will show up until the work is done.

A: Turning my passion into work. It doesn't feel like a job !
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Promotion ! I am very happy in general to share my tips and connections with my clients and to show the work's done on social medias. Though, due to my own schedule, I don't have time to personally take care of all the promotional aspect of the project.
