Dynamic String Arrangements

My name is Chris Wilson, and I am a composer and cellist.

I strive to write arrangements that add to the song and compliment it. Counter melodies, melodic hooks over instrumental sections, strategic tension chords to add drama and dynamics, or straight forward chords. Full string sections, solo parts, or something in between. Basically, however much or however little is appropriate for the project.

In addition, I am a cellist. So if you'd like me to perform and record the cello portion of the arrangement I write, or if you just need a cellist for an arrangement you already have, I can most definitely do that. I also have a few high end sample libraries that I can use to create a very passable version of an arrangement, for use in place of real strings, or to reinforce them.

In my soundcloud playlist are examples of my writing from a couple of projects. First are 4 tracks from the album Phantasmagoric by Grace & Tony. I wrote all of the string parts for these tracks, as well as performed all the cello. The last 2 tracks are demos for a solo album I'm currently working on. These parts are currently performed by sample libraries, so you can hear what those sound like and see if that's an option for you.
