I've been a professional vocalist/songwriter/artist for 6+ years. TYSM, Gucci Mane, R3hab, Marc. E Bassy, Like Mike & Dimitri Vegas, Terror Jr., Austin Mahone, Teflon Sega, Wintertime, The Bliss, Tinashe, Felix Snow, Ben Burgess, and 17Memphis are all artist projects I’ve written/produced for, garnering 30 million+ streams cumulatively.
I provide original vocal production, top-line melodies, music production, and songwriting. I love creating in multiple genres: pop, country, and dance. I produce & record out of Ableton and can also provide light post-editing mixes as well. If we work together, please let me know if your song is fully written – both melody and lyrics – or whether you will need me to write the full song.
When I record/produce/write for hire, I will send a demo of my ideas for approval. After client approval, I cut studio-quality vocals and send a preview for final approval. Stems are delivered when the job is marked as funded.
All work is work for hire. I ask all soundbetter collaborators not to release, list, or promote recordings under my name as an artist or featured artist. While I love everything I work on, I ask this to separate music I work on as a hired songwriter/singer/producer (which varies stylistically & conceptually project to project) from music I write, produce and release.

This is my second time working with Chelsea and every time she nails it!!!! Really killer vocals, her ideas are beyond dope. Fantastic voice, and the melodies are very inventive, no cookie cutter BS melodies. Would recommend to anyone looking for a killer vocalist/topliner. Very professional and on time with results.
Chelsea is an amazing creative with loads of unique ideas steady flowing. She’s always down to explore, and push the boundaries lyrically and vocally. She’s extremely professional as well and has always delivered in a timely manner.
Chelsea is an absolutely wonderful collaborator and songwriter, and her creative vision paired with her strong ambition always push projects to the next level! I’d recommend working with her to anyone, she has a killer instinct to bring out the best in any song or singer.
Chelsea is the best songwriter and singer I know, I've worked with her on 5 songs and she just gets what I want. Its hard for me to work with people due to being shy and and lacking confidence but she made me feel so comfortable. If you need a singer/songwriter who can deliver and really makes the effort to go above and beyond then Chelsea is the one.
Chelsea is an amazing vocalist, songwriter, collaborator—pretty much whatever you need! I’ve worked with her on multiple occasions, and every time we get a killer product! If you’re looking for a clean vocal to bring an instrumental to life, HIRE THIS GIRL!
If you need a killer topline- Chelsea is your girl. So talented, kind and an amazing songwriter.
Chelsea is absolutely AMAZING to work with! Professionalism, timeliness, and quality of work are all top notch. She has great vocals and really stellar melody ideas. I would recommend her for anyone looking for really really dope toplines, or if you already have lyrics + melody, she can deliver an awesome indie / pop vocal. Great stuff!!
Chelsea is an amazing artist, songwriter, I have worked with her on a number of songs, with a dynamic range that can have your songs sounding like they are hit worthy chart material and lyrics to get you that much needed commercial praise. The process of working with her was smooth and she really cares about delivering something you would truly be happy with. I recommend Chelsea and will be using her services for the next songs.
Interview with Chelsea
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Here is the cliff notes version. I started in musical theatre from a young age and seriously studied with a magnet program in San Antonio, TX. I went on to college and got my BA in MT in Boston. I have been singing all my life and received an extensive education in vocal performance. I moved to LA in my last semester of college, and heartbreak led me to my guitar, and one thing led to another. I started writing and working with other songwriters and producers out in LA. I met Felix and began working with him; we became very close friends and fell deeply in love. Together we developed my pop project, TYSM. I had the good fortune of working with so many insanely talented creators like Mighty Mike, Tia Scola, Brandon Colbien, Justin Tranter, Jesse Saint John, Ben Burgess, and Corey Crowder, who undoubtedly inspire me still. I ended up switching gears and moved to Nashville to pursue a country project, 17 Memphis, with the love of my life Felix. I feel so grateful and fortunate to have had so many different experiences creating music with so many wonderfully talented people, and that's all I hope to continue here.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am proud of everything I get to be apart of. 17 Memphis....is probably the bravest I've ever been.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Felix Snow for literally anything music. Wolvo is an insane producer from the UK. Tim Riehm is a stellar songwriter and vocalist. Grant Vogel is killing it in the country scene; his production and songwriting are amazing. Brandon Colbien Skeie is one of the best songwriters I've ever been in the room with, and his vocals will make you weep.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to do my very best to enhance your project with the skills I bring to the table. I only want to add to what's there and help you make the best quality music.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: All of it. Creativity is transcending yourself, and forgetting yourself is the best way to live.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: What am I working on? What am I listening to?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, USB mic, and a guitar.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Free and honest.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: See every idea through. Some of my best ideas were born out of the choices I judged the most but didn't give up on. Also, there are no wrong ideas.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Singing, melodies, and writing.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I love to work fast and get to the core of where a creator is coming from. I love starting from scratch, AND I love writing to a track already made. I try not to stay attached to a process because I feel like that blocks creativity. So I try to stay open to being flexible with other collaborators. When I work alone ... I go entirely off of feeling. Sometimes the words come first, and then I discover a melody and build up a track, or I start a track and do it all backward. Like I said, I try to keep spontaneity at the heart of creating.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I do everything from home. I have a U87, Focals, Laptop, Apollo, kaotica eyeball, Ableton, splice, arcade, guitars, drums ( if I need them, lol)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: A few of my current favorites..... Fleetwood Mac (always), Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Weezer, anything Felix Snow, Aobeats, Goth Babe, Droloe, and obviously A LOT more.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: When I work on music, nothing else matters, and the only way to bring the song to life is to serve the song and forget about yourself.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I have been a working professional vocalist for over 15+ years. I am skilled in ableton and know how to record and mix my own vocals. I also love to produce and have learned everything I know from Felix Snow. I have a great passion for songwriting and collaboration to bring other people's projects to life!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am producing a song I co-wrote with an up-and-coming pop artist.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What's been inspiring you lately? How do you want your music to make you feel? How do you want your music to make other people feel?
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Country, Dance, EDM, Singer-Songwriter, Indie, Alt, EDM
