Hello, I am Michael Hatchwell. I'm a singer-songwriter/producer/mixing engineer. I'm here to help make guitars sing and basses groove. I can also help you produce beats and songs. Arrange and mix your tracks. In short, I can help you throughout the whole creative process.
Originally self taught in several instruments including Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano and Vocals. I attended the American School of Modern Music in Paris France (where I am from originally). After moving to the United States in 1998, I continued developing my skills to include composer and producer. Today, through Boohmsai, I compose, record, mix and fully produce all of my own music.
My instruments of choice for composing are usually guitar/drums, bass/drums or piano/drums depending on the type of song I'm creating. New ideas come quickly and easily due to my years of ongoing experience and my love of composing new music.
My main influences are the ‘classics' funk, rock, R'n'B, pop-rock, indie rock and singer-songwriter. I've been recording for the past 25 years; editing, mixing and mastering music for the band Boohmsai the past for the past 15 years. It is a passion of mine and I am very inspired by new projects, so I hope to hear about yours soon.
