Hello, my name is Glenn and I'm a 39yr old Drummer/Composer and Recording Engineer, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have recorded drums on over 700 songs with outstanding results and feedback from Artists and Producers from all over the world. I aim for groove and musicality in all that I do, but can also bring some "chops" where needed. I pride myself on being customer centric and always aim to deliver the best results possible!

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Drumming for a British Prog Rock band called War Elephant. Really pushed me technically and the results where spectacular!

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Mix and Master project.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Yes. Alex VanTrue - unbelievable vocalist that I have used several times!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. It's what I know and what I can deliver with in a high quality, time-efficient manner. Analog is great, but if you dont know what you're doing it will not get great results.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I will always go out of my way to deliver beyond expectations.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Everything. I wouldn't change it for the world.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Must I record to a click track. Yes!

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That it's easy.

  18. A: Many. It is important to be 100% sure of requirements and expectations so as not to waste anyone's time.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Go with your gut.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Ukulele, loaded iPod, Kick, snare and hats.

  24. A: Been going for 17 years plus. Initially doing more Film, TV and Radio production, but lately going more into music production.

  26. A: Clean and polished.

  28. A: Anyone who is passionate.

  30. A: If it sounds good, you're doing it right. Don't get caught up in too many "rules".

  32. A: Rock to Metal.

  34. A: Audio production without doubt.

  36. A: Hopefully groove and musicality above flash.

  38. A: Work hard until its right!

  40. A: Steinberg Nuendo 7 DAW. MOTU audio interfaces. M-Audio and Allen&Heath pre-amps.

  42. A: As far as drums go, the groove god - Steve Gadd. Production wise, Rick Rubin, Terry Date, Kevin Shirley.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Session drumming, mixing and mastering.
