Interview with FELICE

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That you will love the result. No matter what I will always make sure that you are happy with your song in the end and that is the most important thing to me.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My MacBook Air (for Logic Pro X), an electric guitar, an audio interface, a Neumann mic, and all of my cables.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A modern take on 2000s pop — sugary hooks wrapped in a dark, confident edge, blending electro pop, rock influence, and vintage funk flair.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with the Dare. He produced Charlie XCX's album "BRAT" and I think sound wise it is amazing.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Everything from Pop, Funk and Rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I specialize in pop clarity — songs that are simple, memorable, and impossible to forget. I know how to strip an idea down to what actually matters and rebuild it into a repeatable, sing-along pop song. If your idea feels scattered, I’ll focus it. If it feels messy, I’ll polish it. The result: clean, effective pop that sticks.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: An amazing hook, great arrangement, creativity and lyricism tailored to your artist brand.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Songwriting to me is more of a feeling than a science. My best songs were the ones that were the quickest to create. When it comes to writing for other artists / musicians, I usually start working off of their ideas (whether it be a lyric idea, a melody or a beat) and create off of that. I like to have an overview of their identity as an artist as well and usually ask for a reference playlist so I can get an idea of where they would like the style of the song to go. I always make sure that we're on the same page - sending consistent updates about how the song is going.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in a professional rehearsal studio in Vienna and I usually write all of my full songs on either our Grand Piano or on my electric guitar. Then I start producing on my Laptop using Logic Pro X.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am a huge fan of the 2000s - my biggest inspirations are Darkchild, Timbaland, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Prince and Max Martin.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I've been doing everything from taking first ideas and turning them to fully written and produced songs. Since I am an artist myself who has already built a big following on TikTok (27K Followers), I am very experienced in marketing and how sound, lyrics and catchy melodies play into your brand as an artist. I like to see the big picture.
