A: The studio is equipped with a variety of percussion instruments, excellent gear for professional recording, three high-end drum kits that allow multiple configurations, and a versatile cymbals set that enables the recording of different musical genres.

A: Modern, creative and tasteful.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: I´m so proud about everything I've done, but mostly the work of my own bands, where I participated as a composer, drummer, percussionist and producer.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: mostly in my studio, recording for people in Colombia and other countries in the world.

A: If they and I are not happy, we must record again.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: ¿How much is a drum recording? Well, usually around 100.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: People think I'm too busy playing, but I´m really at my studio creating.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: ¿What kind of sound are you looking for? ¿Do you want me to record as you programmed or do you want me to be creative?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Be clear on what you want.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Kick, snare, hat, drumsticks, stool.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I started when I was 11 in Colombia. Then I went to study in Cuba for three years and returned to my country to study the Colombian rhythms. I played with many artists and I've touring 60 times around America, Europe and Asia. As a session drummer I recorded for artists as Ricky Martin.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: sometimes I record with the stick backwards to get a big snare sound.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Latin (salsa, bolero, bachata, reggaetón), Pop, Rock, Funk, Country, Fusion, World.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: versatility, creativity.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: SEND US 1. The pre-production or demo (complete track), the minus drum track, and the programmed drum. 2. References of the sound you’d like in the track (mp3, youtube, Spotify, etc.) 3. Information about the session (tempo BPM, sample rate, bit rate). 4. Specifications about the percussion instruments you want. WE SEND YOU (within an estimated time of two days you’ll receive) -A Protools session with edited drums, pre-mixed and recorded in 13 channels (kick in, kick out, Subkick, snare up 1, snare up 2, snare bottom, hi hat, three toms, two over heads, room). -If you request the recording of other percussion instruments you’ll also received them in their corresponding channels. -In case you use another platform different to Protools, we’ll send you the audio files. -If you need: advice about the rhythms, sounds, instruments or style to be used in the recording. You’d have the chance to follow the recording sessions via Skype or Google Hangouts, so that you can help out with ideas, give us your opinion or just enjoy watching live from where you are.

A: I record drums and percussion for many genres.
