Ray was amazing! He helped me record my vocals in a support efficient fashion and is definitely a go-to-guy for fast, quality work.

being in LA where people are quick to tell you they have 10 to 20years of experience but lack the professionalism when it comes to getting the job done, Ray does not fall into that category and I always take my time with reviewing him each time we work because he makes every money spent worth it. For me, nothing beats taking your clients job like it is yours and that is what I get working with him. He is someone to HIRE.

Saying Ray is amazing is actually underrating him, His character/personality is exceptional, very patient and believes he can make anything work which he actually does. He's not just there for your money but to give you the value for your money. I could go on but believe me I really doubt I want to work with anyone else. he's too positive and its infectious. Please hire this guy already. Super dope producer, instrumentalist, power mixer and good energy. 5star
I’ve worked with Ray since 2012. He is an incredible musician, very patient and fast at creating! I am very thankful to have met him through Sony Music Publishing. Looking forward to making more tracks in the future. Thanks ray !!
Ray is an exceptional musician and audio engineer. I hired him to record vocals for an artist that I produce for remotely. Ray exceeded all of my expectations. Not only did he provide a clean, comfortable working environment for my artist, but also wonderful quality gear combined with fantastic engineering skills. All of the tracks they recorded were clearly labeled, organized and color coded, which made editing a breeze. I would absolutely suggest Ray to anyone looking to pursue any type of music endeavor. He is quite resourceful, an excellent communicator, and overall a wonderful guy.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ray in the past, playing in different ensembles together, recording and producing, and exchanging musical ideas in general. Ray is the real deal. He is beyond knowledgeable, and always finds a way to approach a project with an open mind and an incredible passion. He is fluent in almost every style and genre, but more importantly he has the willingness and drive to fill in the cracks with pure musicianship. Whether we were in the studio or onstage, Ray was always our go to guy.
I have worked with Ray for a few years now and I can't recommend him highly enough. His technical fluency as a producer and his breadth of knowledge and understanding of music theory is astounding. Definitely work with him if you can.
Ray is one of the best musicians I have ever worked with. I learned much of what I know as an arranger/producer from him during the time we worked on music together. His abilities and musicality is universal and transcends any genre and time period. He is so easy to work with and always there with the right attitude to solve problems and make things work. To top it all, he is such a great person.
Ray and I played in a band together about 10 years ago, and I was always astonished by his natural musical ability and intuition. I couldn't believe how he could transpose and arrange music on the spot, and then not just immediately play it, but also be able to expand on it and make it his own. Over the years since then, Ray and I have worked together on multiple recording and producing projects and I'm even more amazed at the depth of creativity and artistry that he is able to achieve. He understands music at a very deep level that I have always admired.
Ray Reich has an impressive array of musical skills. His ear is unbelievable and he has the chops to match. More importantly, he knows how to use them tastefully within a piece of music. Ray can not only perform on keys exceptionally well (with a fantastic ear and killer chops that cross genres), he is able to arrange and produce music tastefully and exquisitely. His meticulous attention to detail in his productions is impressive and his mixes BUMP. All in all, Ray's a multifacted musician that is incredibly useful in many different situations.
After 8 years in the music industry, I can still confidently say that Ray is one of the few musician who possesses a singular level of both intuitive and explicit talent. I've watched him simultaneously pick up, master, and then mutate musical ideas in a single moment, and his analysis of music is deep and insightful. Highly recommend working with him in any capacity, large or small.
Ray is one of the first producers I ever worked with. While I always knew he had an incredible ear, I was blown away by his ability to take my ideas to the next level. I first came across his work as a fan, and it felt full circle working with him to craft great pop music.
In addition to his musical ability, he’s also a great person to be around. Ray’s passion shines through, and his kindness makes everyone in the room feel like a star.
I would recommend Ray to anyone interested in creating quality pop music at an affordable rate.Ray Reich is an incredible musician and colleague. Having had the privilege of knowing him for over 10 years, I've seen his growth and mastery across a variety of disciplines, including classical performer, producer and composer. I myself am a classical musician now working in marketing, and am excited to see Ray imparting his vast musical knowledge to others. It almost goes without saying, but his writing is as informative as it is engaging.
Ray is the guy! He has a great ear and understanding for what a song calls for! Whether I'm looking for a session piano player, sound designer, or an engineer to work/collab with Ray is one of the first people to pop in mind. On top of all that, he has a big heart and is a joy to be around!
I'm a super fan of your productions Ray , I have been following your work closely since you produce that Hit song with wrathchilds Fall Into love . Come produce a Hit song with me here in Brazil
I have worked with Ray on various occasions over the past 15 years. His skill set and talents as a composer and pianist are phenomenal, but it's truly rare to see these assets paired with such a keen production prowess and awareness of sounds, aesthetic, and arrangements. He's a true professional and a valuable asset for any project - highly recommended.
Ray is a phenomenal talent and a super nice guy! He is a rare combination of someone who has classical training but understands what it takes to make modern music that is relevant. Most producers doing modern music don't have the kind of training or traditional ability that Ray has. It allows him to create very quickly while maintaining a vision for the entire production, not to mention it makes him super easy to work with. I could not recommend him enough!
This boy can do it all! Being trained under classical and jazz professors, Ray has a wide range in music and can execute all other genres in between. He’s innovative with sounds and knows how to write a catchy tune, keeping it fresh and hip. If working with him, take his word, he knows what he’s talking about! Oh, and he's a Radass human being too! 😊
Raymond is unreal. One of the single best musicians around. I have listened to his remixes and tracks for weeks without getting bored: his sounds are one of a kind. Also genuine, hilarious and mindful. Top tier.
It's hard to say anything short about Ray's musicality and wizardry without it sounding like an impossible claim; but as a published songwriter and recording artist of 15 years worth of collaborations, I can hands down say that Ray is the best musician and producer I have ever had the honor of working with. He's got his own unique sound that allows him and the artists he works with to really stand out from the crowd, but at the same time can effortlessly bring another's vision to life. And as an added bonus, he's a kind and awesome human that can get on with anyone. On album #2 with him.
Interview with Ray Reich
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Indie pop album with new artist, mixes and vocal recording / tuning / editing for various clients, song productions, Iyengar yoga, LoopLoft articles. I also give private music lessons, currently working with students on piano, guitar, violin, cello, & trumpet.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! Each serves its own unique purpose. Analog is great for creativity, digital is great for finishing.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love that I can make a living doing but music. I also enjoy technology very much.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Q: Can you do this? A: Yes.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That the process is fast and easy — it's actually slow, tedious, and painstaking of a process to get tracks perfect and "radio-ready". In other words, it's quite difficult to make something sound 'simple'.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are your goals, musically or otherwise? What is your budget and time frame? What are some references we can use as an aesthetic guide?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Have a clear understanding of what you're after. It's perfectly fine to not be sure, but at least know that you aren't sure. The more you understand about what your goals are, the more quickly and easily any provider can help you reach them. It's extremely helpful to have sonic examples of what you envision for your own project. They don't have to be exact matches, but even the ability to reference certain aspects are extremely helpful. For example, "I like the drums in this song", or "I love the way the synths sound", "I'm trying to achieve this vocal effect" — language is subjective, and sound is hard to describe. Having a reference is immeasurably helpful.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been studying music academically since I was 4, and have been teaching since I was 14 (also around the same time I started producing original tracks). I went to a conservatory program during high school, and a conservatory for college. I'm so grateful for the fact that I know Music so well, and it's all I've ever done.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to collaborate with Ellie Goulding because she's an instrumentalist, and her voice is so unique, it would be a pleasure to work with. Also, Aurora (for the same reasons).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Some of my favorite producers: Greg Kurstin, Skrillex, Benny Blanco, Max Martin, Rich Costey Some of my favorite modern composers: Eric Whitacre Some of my favorite classical composers and performers: Pablo Casals, J.S. Bach, Jean Sibelius, Anner Bylsma, Emil Gilels
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie Pop.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly produce music: - create tracks from scratch - help with songwriting (set music to topline) - play piano / keyboard / synth - help guide vocal parts during writing and recording (melody, harmonies, etc). I am regularly hired to tune & edit vocals, because I can do so at a very high quality, and very quickly. I also get hired to do vocal sessions for other producers, because I have a nice studio with great gear, and impeccable session organizational skills. I also get hired to mix tracks with both live, as well as electronic instruments.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a very high degree of musicality.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Amazing vocal chain, Logic Pro, excellent speakers, and some synths.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: If we are on the same page about what it is you want, in the end you will be very happy.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Read my article: https://www.thelooploft.com/blogs/ryans-corner/6-mixing-mistakes-to-avoid
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My ears!
