Another superb job by Wannie. 8 tracks of beautifully crafted backing vocals that instantly enhanced my song. Love it!!!
First time working with Wannie and I will definitely go back. A true professional. Delivered superb quality BVGs before time promised and is a pleasure to work with.
It was a pure pleasure working with Wannie! 10/10
Wannie did such a great job on the song and was very easy to work with! Very professional, great voice and I am looking forward to working with her again!
beautiful voice, perfect interpretation and fast delivery!
thank you Wannie.
I initially asked for an original song for a wedding. Wannie was approachable and professional; she clearly explained her process and encouraged me to share my ideas.
She was accommodating when I asked her if we could switch the project to a song cover. She could easily understand what I wanted, even if I could not fully convey it.
Wannie was responsive and gave me constant updates. The final output was beautiful -- her vocals added a sweetness to the song that made it fresh and genuine, and the harmonies gave it a new depth. Thank you for creating the perfect wedding present!
Wannie is an amazing artist and Im so happy she shared it with me in a form of an awesome song for me and my husband! She puts her heart into her work and you can just feel it when you listen to her music. She is also nothing but professional in our communication and when she was working on the song. She responds very quickly and really listens and incorporates the ideas i shared. I loved the song she made, it is just pure love in music form. Will love to work with her again! Thank you Wannie!
I am recommending Wannie in any musical needs anyone may need. She’s consistently proven herself to be a dedicated
individual in her professional career. She adapts well and listens then delivers the finished product. I had a campaign jingle I had her composed and needless to say I was satisfied in how it turned out. She’s always highly inspired by her dedication and work ethic. She communicates well with both younger and older people. This adaptability makes her the right person for the job. If there is anything higher than a 5 star definitely she’s earned it!
Wannie is an absolute pro and I loved having her sweet vocals on my song! I'll definitely be back to work with this gem!!
I have worked on several songs with Wannie. She is a great songwriter and has a wonderful sense of melody. She is a talented vocalist. Her sound is very current. She is a professional go-getter and has a quick turn around time. I highly recommend working with her. You will not be disappointed.
I have worked with Wannie on several song collaborations over the last two years. She is very talented with a sweet, pretty voice and has very good instincts for what sounds good in a production. She's also an excellent lyricist and a really positive, easy person to work with. I highly recommend her.
I've had the pleasure of co-writing with Wannie, and she has great melodic and lyrical ideas, a lovely, sweet voice, and she is an absolute pleasure of a human being. I could not say enough nice things about her.
I worked with Wannie as a writer on a couple of indie-epic tracks. Her sense of melody and lyric writing is exceptional. She is very receptive to input and works very well in a team setting. I would work with her again and highly recommend her.
Wannie is just real, authentic and attentive. She's a full artist, vocals, lyrics, composing...
Interview with Wannie
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I just released a single that won a songwriting contest. I'm proud of it because it's a new style for me and it got signed by a reputable licensing agency. Also, it's a female empowerment song.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am building on my sync catalog so I try to write and record a song per week and network with other musicians who have the same goal.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That it's my passion. :)
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: I'm super new to this platform so no questions yet but I will update this once I get to work with more clients.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That talent is enough. It takes a lot of practice and skills (and even money) to be able to record quality vocals and passion to use your talent to serve others.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is the song for (for sync, demo, release)? What's the reference track?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: The more specific you are with what you need, the better. If you are unsure of that, I am also flexible and can come up with my own ideas to bring your song to life.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Writing catchy hooks and lyrics.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to deliver them quality product in a timely manner.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am honestly new to this. Over the past two years, I have learned a lot regarding sync licensing and music production which leveled up my music skills. I am currently building my song catalog and thought of helping others with their music needs while doing that.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Pop/Pop Rock-influenced vocal style. I also have a sweet vocals so I can sing emotional songs, too.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Sara Bareilles because she's a freaking songwriting goddess and a great singer, too!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always have a reference track, not to copy, but as a guide.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly pop, but I also do Pop Rock and Singer-Songwriter stuff.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Boomfox Productions.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital because this is what I know well.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: laptop, guitar, audio interface, midi keyboard, microphone
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Unique, sweet and authentic vocals; cool and catchy melodies: and hooky lyrics.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Marit Larsen, Adele, Regina Spektor and Billie Eilish to name a few.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually listen to the track first and brainstorm. I will record my verse and chorus ideas and ask the client first if we're on the same page when it comes to the direction of the song. Communication is really important for me. Once it's validated, I will record the complete lead vocals. Once again, I will have the client check if my performance/phrasing matches his/her vision for the song. I will then continue to record/apply changes based on the client's preference and submit a rough mix of my vocals. Once everything is approved, and payment has been done, I will then send the dry vocal stems.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually do toplines and record vocals. I make sure that each track is tuned and cleaned to make the producer's job easier.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Logic Pro X, Shure SM7B, Scarlett Focusrite Solo, Melodyne
