Like is a did a great job on my song. He sent me a high quality vocal track ready to be dropped into my DAW. I requested a couple fixes, which he did without a glitch. He’s a pro. He made all the difference for pitching this tune.
I’ll be using Luke again soon.

amazing job. absolutely amazing.
Luke did an incredible job with my project. Highly recommended!!
I’ve written several songs with Luke, and he’s the real deal! Great voice, talented songwriter, and a hard worker. Big things are coming for this guy. I highly recommend working with Luke if you get the chance!
Luke is amazing! His vocals are insane. He did such a great job of interpreting what I was asking for, but yet went above and beyond with his creativity. He is timely & was able to record his vocals in just one day. I was so happy with Luke and will definitely use him again! If you need male county vocals, Luke is for sure your guy!
Luke is a fantastic singer and songwriter he makes any song go from good to greatness!! his skills are top notch, work ethic is crazy awesome and can make anything he works on absolute 🔥!
Luke is an outstanding singer and songwriter (and a very cool guy). His vibe, nuance and deep love of music shines through on everything he does. Plus, his work ethic is fantastic. I would highly recommend Luke as a singer, co-songwriter or guitarist. This guy is tops!
Interview with Luke Olson
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am most proud of The Olson Bros Band's new single "Kill Your Mom" that has just surpassed 800K views for the music video on facebook. I co-wrote the song, sang lead vocals, and edited the music video.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A new album with The Olson Bros Band. We just had our most recent music video hit over 800K views on facebook for "Kill Your Mom". I am also working on putting out some new singles for my other project with my wife called "Luke and Kaylee"! and I am always writing new songs!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not personally.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. It is way easier to use and it is the way of the future.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I can promise you that I will always give my full effort on any project I agree to!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love getting to create, sing and record music. Everyday I get to make money for doing something I love is a dream come true!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can you add harmonies? Yes I can add as many or little as you want!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I do believe that a great vocal take can make or break a song when being pitched or just in general.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I always ask for a quick description of what the client envisions for their project! I want to make sure I am the right fit for the job and will be able to get them exactly what they want on the track!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Do the best that you can at letting us know what it is you are looking for in your song/track!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My SM7B with Cloudlifter, my laptop with Logic Pro X, my Shure SRH440 Headphones, my focusright interface, and my Martin Guitar.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I picked up guitar started writing songs about 8 years ago. I started a band with my brother called The Olson Bros Band and after we won a National Songwriting contest and a battle of the bands in our first year as a band in 2013 we started to take music seriously and have been gigging almost year round ever since opening up for Dwight Yoakam, Justin Moore, Craig Morgan, Dylan Scott and many others! We have written hundreds (maybe thousands) of songs and put out 3 full records an EP and several singles that have received radio play and some over a million plays on spotify.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my style as country/pop mainly sometimes with a bit of rock or hip-hop thrown in. I realize that it helps as an artist to have that specific genre lane but I don't like to pidgeon hole myself as a writer/producer.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Ed Sheeran someday because he is a tremendous writer.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: It is a simple trick but one of my favorite things to do to get a wider sound is to double guitars (aka pan one L and one R).
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mainly country but I also have written and recorded vocals on pop, rock and hiphop demos.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I would say my strength is melody but I also focus on lyrics.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I write a lot of country music so I like a song with lyrics that keep it interesting the whole time but also love a great melody. I always try to find a good feel for the song first when I am writing.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Obviously depends what I'm working on but I usually like to work quickly to let the creativity flow.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a home studio I record vocals usually through my SM7B Microphone with Cloud Lifter through my Scarlett 18i8 onto Logic Pro X. I also own multiple guitars a Martin, a Telecaster with Texas Special Pickups, a Fender Tube amp and a Loar Mandolin.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm a big fan of Morgan Wallen, Ed Sheeran, Keith Urban, and Jason Derulo as vocalists! Joey Moi and Avicci are both some producers that really inspire me.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mostly session vocal work. I also do co-writing, toplining, guitar work and acoustic or fully produced demos.
