Songs featured on Billboard Top 25 Adult Contemporary, CMT's Top 20 Countdown, Radio Disney Country, Billboard Country Magazine, and MLB Network. I've toured and worked with professional Country/Pop and Christian artists, and I'm a graduate of Belmont University's Songwriting and Music Business program. 10+ years of experience. Jason is not only talented at providing vocals, harmonies, mixing and mastering but he is also just a very nice human being. I wrote a song for my dying mother and he has been very generous with his time considering his busy schedule. It's always a pleasure to work with Jason! Highly recommended!!!

I’ve worked with Jason now on two songs and he did an incredible job on both of them! He has a great voice, writes great Melodie’s and the sound quality is as good as any professionally recorded song I’ve ever heard. It is literally radio ready when he’s finished! I recommend him highly!!

Just finished another great mix by Jason. 5 stars!!!

Jason has done multiple projects for us. He is extremely talented. Here’s some detail: exceptional voice/tone. Wide vocal range. Very smooth. Voice has a real emotional resonance. He makes great vocal arrangement choices and his finished product is radio-ready. In addition to recording the vocal and harmony parts, Jason mixes the final vocal. So basically, we get a vocalist and producer wrapped in one exceptional talent. Only downside: Jason is in high demand - gotta book him early.

Another 5 star mix from Jason!

Jason always goes above and beyond getting my mixes the way I want them. I asked to keep the background vocals a tad softer and he gave me two versions just to cover it. Thank you, Jason! 5 Stars!!!

Interview with Jason Earley
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am especially proud of a song I wrote with my wife Hannah called "Christmas Eve In Bethlehem." She recorded and released it on her Christmas record, and it is one of the best crafted songs I've been a part of!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I just finished writing a pop/country EDM topline for a client on SoundBetter, and I can't wait for it to be released!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. Analog is cool, and music wouldn't be what it is today without it. But digital makes so many opportunities possible for the creative mind, and it can be way more efficient and affordable!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to do my very best. You are spending your hard-earned money, so I want you to be happy with the product you receive. If you are not satisfied with the product, I offer 3 free revisions, and if that doesn't work, I also offer a 100% money-back guarantee.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love getting to create something from nothing. I am able to bring something new into the world every time I create, and that is so satisfying!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: The most common question is about publishing rights and master rights. If a project is intended to be released, I typically will ask for an even share of the publishing rights, as well as 10% of the master rights. However, I am very flexible about this!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception about what I do is this: Some people might say, "Get a real job." Well, this is my real job, and I am working and learning every day to become better at it :)
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What artists inspire you? What are some similar voices, songs, or production that you would compare your song to? What is your goal for your project (for fun? just a demo? to be released?)
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Communication is key, especially because we will be working through messages instead of face-to-face in the studio. The more details you can give me, the better the process will be for both of us. We can do this!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Oooh tough question. Definitely an acoustic guitar, my little AKAI midi controller, my monitors, and a good mic. You can do a LOT with those things!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: As a songwriter, I am a storyteller. As a singer, I am a "baritenor". As a producer, I am always learning.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Aside from my amazing jokes, my strongest skill is my ability to adapt. I am able to apply my skills to a variety of genres and artists.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have Logic Pro X, Yamaha HS7 monitors, a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 audio interface, SM7B vocal microphone, MXL 990 and 991 microphones, numerous Waves plugins, every Soundtoys plugin, Valhalla Vintage reverb, Taylor 814ce acoustic guitar, American Fender Strat, American Performer Tele, and more!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Producers: Riley Friesen (Family Force 5, Citizen Way), Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line, Morgan Wallen), Mark Miller (Sawyer Brown, Casting Crowns), Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Ben Rector), Forest Glen Whitehead (Kelsea Ballerini). Songwriters: Shane MacAnally, Rivers Rutherford, Josh Osborne, Matt Ramsey, Craig Wiseman. Artists: Keith Urban, Sam Hunt, Charlie Puth.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly do songwriting/toplining and vocals for Pop, Country, and Christian music. I do lots of production for those genres as well, including vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, drum/percussion programming, editing/comping, and mixing.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes, these are my friends on SoundBetter! Brandon Chase, Caleb Crino, Drew Tyler, Alex DaCosta, Foster Ferrell, Jaxon Hargrove, Michael Mechling, and Blake McCoy. You’ll get great products with them as well.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring many years of experience, including a degree from Belmont University in Songwriting and Music Business. I can bring lyrics, melodies, chord progressions — anything needed to complete and polish a song!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started taking music lessons at 7 years old, and by the time I was a teenager, I knew that it was what I wanted to do professionally. So, I moved to Nashville right after high school and graduated from Belmont University with a degree in Songwriting and Music Business.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more. Over-producing can hurt the track, so don’t be afraid to take things out of the mix. “Music is the silence between the notes.” -Claude Debussy
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Keith Urban. He is one of the most gifted musicians I’ve ever heard, one of the most hard-working people in the industry, and he knows how to keep himself and his music relevant and fresh.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Country, Pop, Christian.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For production, I love to talk with the songwriter/artist about their vision for the recording and work from there. For songwriting, it all starts with a great hook.
