Your music is finished, but does it sound like it?
I've spent 20 years making Latin American music compete globally, mastering records for Mon Laferte, Moenia, Los Ángeles Negros, and La Gusana Ciega, among others. That's not a résumé line. It's a standard I hold every project to, regardless of budget or audience size.
What I actually do: I listen before I touch anything.
Every track has a soul, a raw energy that the artist put there intentionally. My job is to amplify that, not replace it. I make musical decisions, not just technical ones. The result is a master that feels cohesive, punchy, and alive from the first bar to the last.
I work fast because creativity doesn't wait. Most projects are delivered within 24 hours. And I don't consider a job finished until you do. Unlimited revisions, no questions asked.
Who I work with: Indie artists ready to release. Producers who need a trusted finisher. Labels and managers who need consistency across a catalog.
If you've worked hard on your music, it deserves a master that works just as hard. Let's talk.

Interview with Alan Garcia
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Mastering Mon Laferte's track stands out, not because of the name, but because of what the project required. Her music lives in that space between raw emotion and radio-ready polish. Getting that balance right, without sanitizing what makes her unique, is the kind of challenge I live for. The track ended up on heavy rotation across Latin America. That's what a great master can do.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will protect the soul of your track while making it compete with anything on the radio. You'll get my honest ears, fast delivery, and a master you're proud to release, or we keep working until you are.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That mastering is just "making it louder." It's actually the last creative decision in the life of a song. The moment where you either honor what the artist built or flatten it into nothing. Volume is maybe 10% of the job. The other 90% is listening.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Send me your track before we talk money. Seriously. I'd rather listen first and tell you what's possible than have you book a session with the wrong expectations. A good mastering engineer should be able to tell you, before touching anything, what the track needs and what it doesn't.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Punchy, dynamic, and honest. I don't over-compress, I don't chase loudness at the cost of life, and I don't homogenize. The master should sound like a better version of your mix, not a different song.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Listening. Not just to the audio, to the artist. Understanding what they were going for, what they're afraid of losing, and what they don't know how to ask for yet. That's where the real work happens.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been working on audio since around 2004, I started as an assistant and quickly became the head engineer of that studio. Then I moved to my own place around 2014 and have been mixing and mastering records for local and foreign artist. I've been quite lucky
