Quick, one stop shop for your bass needs. I've appeared on recordings alongside Ken Stringfellow (R.E.M., The Posies), Vicki Peterson (Bangles), Matthew Caws (Nada Surf), Levon Henry (Meshell Ndegeocello, Allen Toussaint), and John Convertino (Calexico, Iron & Wine). I also bring my expertise as an engineer and producer to the tracks.
Session Bass: When called for, my approach is frequently melodic in the same vein as Paul McCartney, James Jamerson, Ron Carter, and Ray Brown. I'm equally adept in electric and upright bass. In addition to standard finger-style playing, I'm quite experienced in tracking arco (bowed) bass and playing electric with a pick while palm muting. I have an array of high end recording gear in my acoustically tuned and calibrated home studio that allows me to pick the right tool for the song. You can expect the bass tracks I send to be in tune, in rhythm, comped, and edited. I'll line up the beginning of the bass track sound files with the headphone mix and/or stems you send me, so I advise to mark the sample where that starts in your session.
