  8. Review by mahditavakkoli7

Uros is very professional and easy to work with . Although our tastes in music didn't match exactly , we could find common grounds . I'm a bit obsessive & hard to work with , but he was very patient and responsive through the whole producing process .

Extremely Prefessional, and know exactly how to take a song from Good to Phenomenal. Vocal editing is magical and even demo work sounds like Final Product.

Producers / Songwritters that you can trust with your work are hard to find. Uros has the ability to make a song stick out and have a unique sound. No stone is left unturned when it comes to edting / recording. An up to date and very fast responsive work flow is cruical for an artist point of view so that's why working with Uros is simply a delight. No matter what the demands are he will always take all ideas into consideration and adapt. And guaranteed a flawless product will be finished. No more fancy words here except Uros has that special touch when it comes to being a producer.

Interview with SoundEvolver Studio

  1. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  2. A: I would like to work with Mr. Ryan Tedder who is not only the producer and songwriter of countless hits but also a very skilled musician. I would also like to work with Mr. Shane McAnally who is writing songs from the depths of his heart.

  3. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  4. A: I'm really proud that the metal band Inmate made it to the finals of a national Eurosong competition for our country.  2 songs I produced for them in fact made it to the finals 2 years in a row.

  5. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  6. A: I'm currently working on full album production for the Australian rising star YSOD (You˙ll See One Day). They are really talented and they deserve more attention in the music scene.

  7. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  8. A: There are so many talents here, it's hard to pick a few, yet harder only one :)

  9. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  10. A: Digital. Simple: it can be archived and restored any time. Digital technology made great progress through the years in sound quality and sometimes it´s pretty thought to separate between analog and digital. I agree that the analog can sometimes bring some more mojo in sound though.

  11. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  12. A: The product will be finished on time and we will do all we need to ensure that the client is satisfied.

  13. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  14. A: I just love music and being creative. I love how the end product sounds. I feel fulfilled when the song gets all it needs to be perfect and that the musical story of the song is completed. All songs I'm working on are like my children so I pay much attention to help them grow to become mature.

  15. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  16. A: The most common question is how much is this going to cost :) My answer: it depends on what stage the song currently is and how much work needs to be done from basic ideas to major hit song. Naturally writing a song from scratch is more expensive than editing just a few vocal tracks.

  17. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  18. A: That the producers work for free and can repair a bad vocal performance.

  19. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  20. A: I usually ask them if they have any demo recordings of their ideas/songs and what way would they like to participate in the songwriting/production process.

  21. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  22. A: Be open to new ideas and let everybody involved in the songwriting and production process work for the benefit of the song. Try to be unique and be yourself.

  23. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  24. A: My guitar, mic, solar battery charger, laptop and audio interface. That's all I need to keep making music.

  25. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  26. A: When I was a kid I used to sing in the choir in primary school and started to take lessons for accordion but I have lost interest in that instrument. I have fallen in love with the guitar. I'm a self taught guitar and bass player. I was a founder and songwriter of an alternative metal band called LastDayHere with which I released 2 albums and 3 singles. We toured across Europe and Canada. Being in a band for 11 years and making demos and basic recordings developed into an interest in the music production process.

  27. Q: How would you describe your style?

  28. A: Rock/metal meets EDM and Trap.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: I actually have two important tips: If you have extremely low tuned guitars mix the kick drum's fundamental (strongest) frequency above the bass guitar's and if you have a kick drum with lots of sub frequencies mix the bass guitar higher in frequency spectrum than the kick drum. Pay attention to the phase between the kick drum and bass.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I usually work on modern and alternative metal and rock with electronic and Trap elements.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is precision. Every element in the song matters in my opinion and it has to have a reason for being there. I like really polished productions.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring uniqueness and emotional impact to the song, that's what makes them stand out.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: Clients usually provide very basic demo song ideas (few guitar riffs or/and a vocal melody) and we start developing a song from there.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio setup is mainly 'in-the-box' which consists of a PC computer workstation, audio interface and my Steinberg Cubase 10.5 DAW. I'm also using Rode, Shure and AudioTechnica mics in combination with the Warm Audio ToneBeast preamp. My studio is acoustically treated and tuned with 2 main monitorsDynaudio LYD-48 and 4 Presonus T10 Temblor subwoofers to make the frequency response of my control room 'ruler' flat.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I'm very inspired by other types of genres which are not my comfort zone. I get a lot of fresh ideas for the styles I used to work with.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Most of the time I usually provide full song production which includes song arrangement, writing and recording guitars and a bass guitar, writing sampled drums and making unique sound designs for each song. I also edit, tune and time align recorded vocal tracks frequently. Mixing and mastering is also included in my productions.

I was the writer, co-writer, producer, recording, mixing and mastering engineer in this production

I'm currently in the production of the debut album of the Australian rising star called YSOD (You'll See One Day). Guys are really talented so the writing process and the production is real pleasure. The ideas are flying all over. Despite the huge time lag (Nova Gorica, Slovenia Vs. Melbourne, Australia) collaboration our runs smooth as butter. I can't wait for their new album to be released.
