Producer and Mixing Engineer

Ben Weston on SoundBetter

Vibrancy. Music should never be black and white, it thrives on excitement and emotion. I want to bring out the colour in your tracks; paint a picture and tell a story. I've worked with Gabrielle Aplin and JP Cooper to do just this, and performed with Damon Albarn (Blur) and Roger Hodgson (Supertramp) to experience it on the stage. Let's make music!

I started playing with cassette tape machines in my room when I was 10 - recording sounds then playing with speed and pitch, backwards and forwards, trying to create new sounds. I grew up listening to Michael Jackson, Queen and The Beatles; so strong songwriting and production values have always been a core part of my world.

After graduating a degree in Music Production I worked briefly in Film and TV post production sound engineering, whilst playing in bands multiple nights per week. This eventually became too much, so I threw myself fully into Music Production, and have never looked back. Whilst I have worked with some big names, it is my collaboration with developing artists that I most proud of - Dylan, Alicia Daydreams, Mali Mae, and many others - some of whom have gone on to sign with major labels and tour the world with the biggest names in Pop music.

I will take your raw materials and enhance them to fulfill their highest potential; I want your songs to do big things, so that you'll come back and we can continue to work together! I am somewhat of a perfectionist and take great pride in my work, however I hang most of my pride on being approachable and collaborative, so if there's something you think could be better, I want to hear it.

I'd love to hear what you're working on - click 'Contact' above to get in touch.
