Pop producer that loves electronic dance music. Modern synth-driven production. Credits include HYBE America and T-Series.
Hi, I'm Jake – a pop/electronic producer based in LA!
Take a listen to my production reel — these are 12 tracks to give you a feel for my sound.
I grew up on electronic dance music and gradually shifted into pop production over the years. I love anything with a catchy hook, lush melodic synths, and gritty basses. Some of my biggest influences include Disclosure, Porter Robinson, Dua Lipa, Jennie, Skrillex - and of course - anything Max Martin. Most people describe my sound as fresh and modern, without following the same formulas everyone else is doing.
WHAT I CAN DO:
* Full-length song production: take your vocal idea into a release-ready banger
* Mixing & mastering: full track or stem mixing
* Instrumentals/beats: genre-fluid within pop/EDM (hip-hop, R&B, dance, house, trap, sync music)
* Creative vocal processing (+tuning if needed)
MY BACKGROUND:
I’m a Berklee College of Music grad with over 10 years of production experience. My clients include HYBE, T-Series, Output, Universal, Max, and Hulu. I work exclusively on Ableton Live.
Let’s make something great together. Hit me up to get started!

Frison sorted me out with some high end sound design. Sounds were all of professional standard and exactly what I was after. Highly recommend!
Worked with Frison in person on a track! Really great beatmaking and accomodated to what I wanted on the track!
Frison provided high quality production for a song that I had sitting around for the longest time. He can really help bring your vision to life with his varying technical abilities. One thing I really was struggling to find in other freelancers was the quality of sound design and am really content with the work we ended up completing. Highly recommended.
Really great collaborator. Frison understood exactly the texture / mood that I was looking for in sound design and gave me so much to work with. I felt lucky to work with someone that was so precise technically but at the same time flexible and open to experiment with creatively.
I have worked with Frison on the production of several songs. He is professional and a talented musician. All our projects turned out great. Highly recommend !
Frison, he is the man. I'm one of the member of songwriter duo call 'Yellow Lights'. We worked together on two tracks, and it was fantastic. No doubt about his skills and professionalism. Pleasure working with Frison and I love to collab again with him.
Interview with Jake Jeong
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A tasteful combination of inventive, electronic-influenced sounds along with rich harmonies.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A fresh, modern style inspired by current trends without sounding like everyone else.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Porter Robinson, Lophiile, Grey, PREP, Lemaitre, Kenny Beats, HONNE.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Just because I write 'electronic music' doesn't mean all my music are bass-heavy bangers! I love the soft, groovy stuff as much as the heavy stuff.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been producing music for 8+ years, and my previous experiences include working as a music production instructor at a production school.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Porter Robinson. He executes melodic ideas in an electronic style like no one else, in a way that is catchy, non-cliche and enjoyable for people who don't even like electronic music.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Make sure your drums groove when played on it's own. Don't overcomplicate your ideas.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: EDM for music I write for myself, and Electronic/R&B/Hip Hop/Pop if I'm producing for another client.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm super versatile - I'm able produce almost anything that is electronic-inspired and has a tight groove.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It depends. If I'm writing around a vocal, I like to put a chord progression down first, set the arrangement, and create a sound palette that would stylistically accommodate the vocal. If I'm writing dance music, I usually like to sketch the drop idea and then build the song cohesively around that.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Ableton Live 10, Adam A7X Speakers, a MIDI Keyboard, my Macbook Pro and too many plug-ins.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write and produce for other singers/songwriters/artists. They send a vocal idea to me, provide some context of the song along with stylistic references, and I build a song around it as accordingly. I send demos and they send feedback, and we go back and forth until they're satisfied!
