Frison on SoundBetter

Music producer with a focus on electronic dance music and electronic R&B/Hip Hop/Pop. 8+ years experience. Credits include official remixes for Yellow Claw, originals featured in international radio (Sirius XM, iHeartRadio), originals remixed by renowned producers such as R.O, Last Island.

I specialize in EDM but I also have professional experience in producing other electronic genres (R&B, Pop, Hip Hop, Trap). I love anything with a catchy hook, lush melodic synth sounds and gritty bass. Influences include Porter Robinson, Madeon and Skrillex. My sound can be described as a fresh, modern style inspired by current trends, without conforming to what everyone else is making.

I offer the following services:
:: Full-Length Song Production :: I will produce and mix a song around your vocals that will align with your stylistic vision.
:: Additional Production :: If you have a song that needs that extra polish, I can help.
:: Mixing :: Full-Track or Individual Stems.
:: Beats :: Instrumentals for you to sing/rap on. Genre-fluid.
:: Sound Design :: I can polish or re-create drums/basses/pads/lead synth sounds that you hear from other songs. Guaranteed it will be 90% accurate.

Graduated in Berklee College of Music. 8+ years production experience. Clients include artists, singer-songwriters, TV, film and commercials. 10+ years jazz piano proficiency. Releases under global labels with music supported by Yellow Claw, Hotel Garuda, Don Diablo, ARTY.

Frison provided high quality production for a song that I had sitting around for the longest time. He can really help bring your vision to life with his varying technical abilities. One thing I really was struggling to find in other freelancers was the quality of sound design and am really content with the work we ended up completing. Highly recommended.

Interview with Frison

  1. Q: How would you describe your style?

  2. A: A tasteful combination of inventive, electronic-influenced sounds along with rich harmonies.

  3. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  4. A: A fresh, modern style inspired by current trends without sounding like everyone else.

  5. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  6. A: Porter Robinson, Lophiile, Grey, PREP, Lemaitre, Kenny Beats, HONNE.

  7. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  8. A: Just because I write 'electronic music' doesn't mean all my music are bass-heavy bangers! I love the soft, groovy stuff as much as the heavy stuff.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I've been producing music for 8+ years, and my previous experiences include working as a music production instructor at a production school.

  11. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  12. A: Porter Robinson. He executes melodic ideas in an electronic style like no one else, in a way that is catchy, non-cliche and enjoyable for people who don't even like electronic music.

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: Make sure your drums groove when played on it's own. Don't overcomplicate your ideas.

  15. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  16. A: EDM for music I write for myself, and Electronic/R&B/Hip Hop/Pop if I'm producing for another client.

  17. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  18. A: I'm super versatile - I'm able produce almost anything that is electronic-inspired and has a tight groove.

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: It depends. If I'm writing around a vocal, I like to put a chord progression down first, set the arrangement, and create a sound palette that would stylistically accommodate the vocal. If I'm writing dance music, I usually like to sketch the drop idea and then build the song cohesively around that.

  21. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  22. A: Ableton Live 10, Adam A7X Speakers, a MIDI Keyboard, my Macbook Pro and too many plug-ins.

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: I write and produce for other singers/songwriters/artists. They send a vocal idea to me, provide some context of the song along with stylistic references, and I build a song around it as accordingly. I send demos and they send feedback, and we go back and forth until they're satisfied!
