Endorse Nick Tsang- check_circleVerified
Extremely talented guitarist, very fast response time and a pleasure to work with. I needed a guitar part for my song which was originally composed on piano and Nick created an absolutely stunning guitar piece that captured the vibe perfectly and authentically. Quality of recording is also great. Would definitely work with again.

Great time working with Nick , he got what we were looking for immediately and produced great acoustic tracks . A real pro.

Working with Nick was an incredible experience. His impressive background playing for Ed Sheeran, Backstreet Boys, and Charli XCX etc speaks for itself, and he definitely lived up to his reputation. Nick laid down fantastic rhythm guitars on my track and crafted a solo that was simply outstanding. He was patient and willing to collaborate until we achieved the perfect vibe. I look forward to working with him again soon.

Nick played his guitar beautifully for my track and was very quick with getting the job done. Open and enthusiastic with taking notes and making changes as well. Would definitely work with him again.

First time working with Nick Tsang and he did great! We generally work with a bunch of Nashville players for our music but this time since we were going in a more pop direction thought it might be better to hire someone who is more in that pop realm. So we brought Nick into the project and he did great! Super easy to work with and fast! Took about a week start to finish with one round of revisions. Thanks so much Nick! Appreciate your hard work! Let's do it again soon!

wonderful guitarist! Was able to take my ideas I sang out to him and make them real. Was also able to take my revision requests kindly and professionally with a really quick turn around. I was able to achieve a very specific, muted funk guitar sound through Nick that I otherwise wouldnt have been able to achieve on my own. Thanks buddy!
Interview with Nick Tsang
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I think being called in to be Ed Sheeran's right hand man on the guitar and backing vocalist was an honour since he is one of the most successful artists in history. To be played a part of his journey will be great to tell the grand kids!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on my own project Amberlake ready to release lots of music next year
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Although I collected so much analog gear of amps and pedals over the years, These days I mainly use digital since the workflow is so much quicker and the results are just as good
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We will have an enjoyable experience working together and I shall make sure to give you my best
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to do what I love for a living
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That Im broke!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: It helps me if you have a clear vision of what you are trying to achieve. The more you know what you want, the faster I can help you get the results
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I love writing/recording when I travel. On my travels I take an acoustic guitar, laptop, Shure SM7b, apogee duet and a midi keyboard. Its all you need to make a music!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: It has been my my full time job since I left school, so forever!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Although I grew up on blues and pop rock, my style of playing is very modern since I love pop music and have a been studying for over 15 years
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: It is easy to get caught up in the technicalities of music production, but always remember music is a feeling. Everything you write/play has to make you feel something
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Although I come from a blues/rock background, my main work these days are with modern pop artists which spans across all genres
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I value myself on having a great ear for harmony and arrangement of parts
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: It is very important to me to aline the music with the story the song is telling. I always listen to the lyrics and talk about feel/mood that the client would like to achieve, and every part that I compose has to have a purpose in the track.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I always spend the first few listens of a new track without my instruments. I like to imagine what I want to hear on the track before before playing anything. that way the new parts written will be completely suited for the song
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a fully kitted music studio in which I hold recording sessions. I have 13 guitars and 4 amps to cover all musically genres as well as upright piano and world instruments. These days I mainly use my Kemper amp profiler which allows me to access any guitar sound that is required for any live or recording job
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: As well as touring as a backing guitarist/multi-instrumentalist, I get hired often in the studio to compose guitars/keys parts which often becomes the main driving element in which all the production elements are build around
