Composer, guitarist (6- and 7- string guitars, nylon, acoustic, electric), singer, music producer and arranger. Bruno is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and has lived and performed in Tel Aviv and Barcelona as well as being a sideman and music director on multimedia projects. Currently works from his own studio in New Orleans, LA, where resides.
“Bruno Elisabetsky is part of a Brazilian Guitar legacy of which I also belong to. He is one of the heirs of the fusion that took place within the last decades between the universe of Guinga and the Minas school of Toninho Horta, the rhythmic guitar of Baden Powell and the subtlety of João Gilberto. Bruno etches his own voice in beautiful and mature compositions, securing a place among the outstanding figures of Brazil’s contemporary guitar scene.”
DANIEL SANTIAGO (Guitarist, Composer and sideman for artists such as Hamilton de Hollanda, Eric Clapton and João Bosco) on "Xadrez"
"The music gains dynamic momentum throughout the repertoire, and is forcefully endorsed by the ubiquitous Teco Cardoso on baritone saxophone (‘Portas’) and soprano saxophone (‘Maré’), while Nailor Azevedo brings a lyrical joyousness to ‘Farol Alto’, a tune played with spontaneous vim and verve. The legendary Joyce Moreno appears on Elisabetsky’s worshipful ‘Samba Moreno’ adding noble sophistication to a visceral Brasilian, street rhythmic form of celebratory music".

Bruno recorded a beautiful guitar backing for a track on my forthcoming album of Portuguese Coimbra Fado songs. His experience of the genre ensured an authentic sound, and he was very attentive in making the necessary revisions to ensure the highest quality sound. Bruno's passion for guitar, and the exquisite and romantic sound of Fado, really shone through. Muito obrigado Bruno! 🎶

Amazing guitar, and fast jobb!

I asked Bruno to record acoustic guitar for one song I wrote. It was basic strumming of chords and a bit of fingerpicking. Every version he would send in, would contain little mistakes in terms of chords or timing. There would be artificial fade-outs of chords and sometimes he would strum differently to what I asked. I kept on giving elaborate feedback on all the mistakes he made but he never fully fixed all issues on subsequent versions.
