Smiddy’s producing techniques were enhanced since 2009 when he began working in the music business. His natural people persona often led him to be the one to network, but he learnt from his team and found his own unique style. “I like to give people mood swings,” he says speaking to the deep emotional connection he taps into because music is personal. It’s all about the listening experience, what listeners visualise when they hear a track and how he can help them to see the full picture.
Living with the mantra of never doubting yourself, StarBlu Productions has worked with artistes from around the region and internationally to produce songs from soca and dancehall to R&B and pop. Trinidad’s Destra Garcia, Shal Marshall and Olatunji, Barbados’ Mikey, Allison Hinds and Biggie Irie, Jamaica’s Aidonia and Konshens, Bahama’s Wendy and St. Lucia’s Big Vybe, Sedale and Africa’s Seyi Shay and Tonye Garrick are among the line up of stars to have benefitted from the team’s producing talents. To date, some of the hit songs include On My Way by Machel Montano, Soca Save My Life by Destra, Soca Salsa and Project 5 Riddim.

A: I have an acoustically isolated production space.

A: Machel Montano - On My Way. It's a song my team produced and the message of the song speaks so much volume it relates to my journey. Seeing this song come to life with visuals instantly inspired me to continue doing what i love doing best.

A: Im working on a new wave.

A: I prefer digital because i'm more experienced in it. Using so much plugins day by day i'm a geek for software.

A: My promise is to give the client the best version of myself so that i'll only push on giving the client the best product he/she desire. I promise to deliver main stream content and an international sound no one can resist.

A: I can be creative anytime i want. i'm not forced into the nature of it

A: Honestly i'll say capturing the moment and being able to put it into the music.

A: I think i bring a level of creativity balanced with a high standard sound.

A: i like my mind to be at peace before i begin working on projects. Sometimes i'll listen to music to either inspire me or relax me.
