Professional duduk player experienced in different styles of music. Touch the hearts of your audience with authentic sound of Armenian duduk.
My name is Ilia Mazia. I play Armenian duduk for about twenty years. I performed and recorded with many artists in different styles - with world and traditional music bands, with blues and rock musicians, with Jerusalem symphony orchestra, women's vocal ensemble Sirenot and electronic ambient music projects (Vellua, Digital Samsara, Sergey Gabbasov). I can compose or improvise for you or play your written or recorded part. I can play duduk in authentic "Oriental" style, or with jazzy elements and feeling, or in "academic", classic style. I have high quality duduks in different keys.
My recent works:

Vellua - "Reo" https://youtu.be/YgBrwg5nnO0

I play also some other folk wind instruments - Armenian-Kurdish long shepherd flute called blul (kaval), tin whistle, ocarina, Native American flute etc. Please pay attention - I listed myself as "Flutes", "Oboe", "Clarinet", but I play duduk and some ethnic flutes only. For recording I use the AKG mic C3000B. Feel free to ask any questions clicking the green 'Contact' button above. I was looking for a quite unique and rare instrument and I found it thanks to Ilia.
Another project completed with Ilia. I am very satisfied working with Ilia.It is rare to see a musician who treats your project like his own. Great attitude, communication and, of course, playing skills and tone!
Ilia has a great tone, excellent understanding of the task and fast turn-round. Highly recommend!
Ilia was very professional, fast and accurate. It took a few minutes only to get back with a perfect recording. I like how his recording sounded very "organic" and natural. thank you
