I also work in Dropgun Samples team where we create sample packs for Splice - the largest platform in the world.
I am flexible with genres, but I especially enjoy making Pop, EDM, House, Hip-Hop and Trap tracks and bangers!
I'm sure we'll find a common language!

Спасибо, Николай за продюсирование моего альбома.
Kocmo respect, the best of the best, amazing boy, cool sound-producing! ❤️
Amazing guy and producer! He was super friendly and profesional, did an amazing job and produced me a Future House track in the style that I requested. I will definitely use his service again :)
KOCMO made an awesome trap beat for my rap project! Love his choices of drum samples!
Nick did an amazing job with my future bass track order within the deadline. He is amazing at making arrangements and sound design!
KOCMO, aka Nikolay, is a phenomenal sound producer, a natural born beatmaker and a DJ. I found him accidentally, I liked his stuff and we immediately started working. He made 2 dance beats and 1 hip-hop beat for me.
It's pleasant to work with Nikolay because he understands the technical task well, he listens to client's wishes very carefully, so I highly recommend everyone to work with him!
Interview with Nick Shabalin
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A couple of music production orders and also 1 of my own tracks!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! Although it is much nicer to be able to touch analog. But if it's not affordable, digital is great too! Especially these days.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: The money you pay for the work will 100% pay off!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That I can do it wherever I can put my laptop and I can do it whenever. AND it gives so much opportunity to meet amazing artists.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That music production is easy (it's very not)
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your reference artist?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Give a chance to producers with little/no reviews and not as much experience as those guys on the front page! We are also highly skilled and talented and live music + our pricing can be lower!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My guitar, my phone, a knife, a bottle, a flashlight. All you need to survive AND to make and even record music :D
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started making music in my bedroom when I was 15. Now I am 22 and I started releasing tracks on labels last year! I've had experience working on a radio station (DJing and hosting programs), working in a sound recording studio, working in a sample pack label team. Now I'm focused on my own project and on freelance productions!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Energetic and emotional music of all sorts!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: David Guetta is the №1 on my list! He is such a great inspiration and he has so much energy in him still!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The mood you're setting and conveying in a song is usually so much more important than sound design and all the technical stuff behind the production!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I am very flexible with genres! I have my own EDM/house project, but I've had a lot of experience making hip-hop and trap beats for Splice sample packs! I've also worked with many Hip-Hop and R&B artists.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Being able to listen to a song as a regular listener. And also communicating! So two skills haha :D
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Emotion! Very important. A song must tell a story!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I always start with piano! When I have the chord progression and the melody done, then I get into sound design and arrangement.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Focusrite 2i2, a pair of Audio Technica ATH-m50x and a couple of Yamaha HS7. And a computer of course :)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Don Diablo, Going Deeper... There are so many actually!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Music production, creating arrangements, instrumentals or beats
