Absolute WOW - Alice was everything a producer could ask for in a vocalist! Timely, professional, and GIFTED. She is a GENUINE diamond-platted star. Did you listen to her demo?! I can only pray we work together again because she brought the X-factor. 5/5/A1 Grade
Alice was incredibly professional and easy to work with. She went above and beyond to deliver what I needed for my project. Being in the industry for over a decade it's always been hit and miss working with vocalists but Alice stood beyond and outshined many of my previous working experiences with singers. Also her vocals / mixing on vocals were perfect. I'm in a group of producers and somebody mentioned that it was the best vocal performance they had heard on a song coming from the group. Thanks Alice!
Alice is an incredible songwriter and her unique voice turns everything she touches into gold. She is easy to work with and communicates well. Every song we've worked on together has been phenomenal. I highly recommend working with Alice if you're looking for meaningful lyrics and professional-grade vocals.
Alyse is so incredibly talented. She helped me write parts of my song “good love“, vocal produce, and record the song, and even helped me with pronunciation and singing. Being a new artist, it meant a lot to me that she spent so much time with me, and gave me her professional, tasteful, critiques. I’ve also recorded covers and demos with her, and she’s always professional and super fast! She’s sharp and to the point and I’m so lucky to call her a friend and someone I can make beautiful music with.
It was a true pleasure writing a track together with Alice. The vocals she wrote, recorded and produced were fantastic and sounded finalized - all I needed to do was drop them into the mix session and I was done.
Alice is a fantastic songwriter and general creative person. I enjoyed every second of our time together working on 'Between The Lines'. A lovely human being and a genius creative mind for lyric writing, vocal performance, and visual art.
Alice has been such a pleasure to work with over the years. She creates such a welcoming environment. She has also delivered such professional and amazing work!
Interview with Alice
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I've become accustomed to creating a topline based on what the client is looking for. I'm grateful that my experience has gotten me to story-tell well enough with a song.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio setup consists of an iMac, UAD Arrow interface, Logic DAW, Genelec speakers and an Aston Origin mic.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I have a couple of tracks that I am working on within the progressive house and DnB space :)
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I have a song that made it on a huge TV show and I'm very excited for it to be released! I feel like that has been my biggest accomplishment yet that I only know about lol. It's been tough keeping it a secret but it will be worth the wait!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I have a couple of dance tracks currently in progress with an artist named Mitiska. :) I'm really looking forward to those coming out in the near future!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I absolutely recommend Amanda - who goes by Kayrae! She's a phenomenal writer and vocalist!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask them what type of release is it (self, label, sync) and are they looking for it to be a buyout or feature?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I don't necessarily have advice but I'll be one of your most easy going providers that you'll work with :) I go beyond for anyone who goes beyond for me.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My speakers, my computer, my interface, my mic and my headphones.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I went to school and got a degree in communications for PR. I somehow ended up in event production for glitter companies and that's how I met a few people in the music scene and it sparked my interest in getting back into music. I started in 2018!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I've been described as "ethereal".
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: One of the artists on my vision board is Zhu - I love this dark, melodic stories that the creates with his music production!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Patience is key in producing quality work.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I've been working on a lot of Rnb type of tracks for commercial/TV syncs as of late! Otherwise, I work on dance tracks.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Being super accommodating with what producers request. At the end of the day, we both want the track to sound its very best so I'll work on it until it's perfect.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I sit with a song and write/record the very first feeling or thought that comes to mind. Most of the time the hooks come up in my brain first and then the rest of the song develops after.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My music tastes are all over the place, but my top three would be Grimes, Charlotte Lawrence and Sabrina Claudio.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Toplines. I write, record and process everything!
