Hey! My name's Mackin. I'm gonna give you something unique. If you're looking for interesting sounds and an indie sensibility to bring your track to the next level, I'm your guy~ If you want a memorable top line that doesn't sound like what's out there, I'm your guy~ If you need lyrics that get what's in your heart into a song, I'm your guy~

I studied Popular Music Performance at USC Thornton School of music, earning a BA.
I've got the gear, time, and skills to get your project to the finish line.
Production wise, I specialize in getting indie rock band sounds as well as indie songwriter stuff.
I do live sessions for songs if the style calls for it in a Venice studio with a live room, and the rest out of my home studio.
Songwriting wise, I take most influences from the Folk/Americana tradition.
I also have a knack for 60's/70's R&B/pop music when it comes to bass guitar.
For that warm sign with vibrant, Jamerson (or more modernly Joe Dart) sound, I'll give you a great bass line that supports your song and adds something interesting, playful, and foundational.
Podcast wise, I host a show and have helped develop/launch several shows in the past, so I'll be able to edit with ease to get you a great flowing conversation appropriate to the genre and a clear, full sounding conversation that people don't have to crank their car stereos to hear.
I also have a vast array of peers that I occasionally outsource do if the track calls for something particular (instrumentalists that I track).
I can also give you solid mock-up mixes so when you take things to a mixer they'll just be tightening things up and putting their shine on it~
